Cheers for the support guys
I'll try and answer all the question thus far below:
Will the kit come with a Basemap?
OEM ECU Tuning:
Yes the DIY kit will come with a basemap to get you started, for Mazdaedit users you'll need to send in your ECU (unless you have mazdaedit) I we will apply it at our workshop. a note for Mazdaedit users, we will only be supporting spring pressure you guys which will be upto c14 PSI (I know the website says 11) this means at the manifold with a bit of pressure drop you'll see somewhere in the region on 11PSI.
Don't be put off by this, I know everyone shouts about boost pressure etc but it is largely irrelevant in terms of how much power the engine will make, it's all about the mass flow of air. in simple terms a smaller turbo boosting its head off producing a load of heat will produce less power than a larger turbo flowing more air at a lower pressure.
I would imagine spring pressure at these numbers to still be around 350HP
Haltec Tuning:
My preferred solution is the Haltec R3, and what an amazing piece of kit this is, I love it! This will be developed first and the OEM solution afterwards, for those purchasing the kit with Haltec ECU will get a very comprehensive basemap extracted from my own car. Tuning will be free upto spring pressure and then if you want to stretch the legs of the car I will offer tuning services at a price for this.
There are T&C's for free tuning, like you need to purchase the ECU through me and not secondhand on Ebay for example, sorry.
Support for S1 and R3?
We are keen to support everyone, the kit may need some minor tweaks for R3, so this will have to be a workshop fitment only (for the time being), tuning wise we can use Mazdaedit and we are working on a Haltec solution.
So yes, shouldn't be a problem.
Sorry about the nauty pictures too guys, I'll add in 18+ only sticker!
In all seriousness, this is really useful, so keep the comments coming and I'll wrap them up into the website so all can benefit.
