Big thanks to RR

Post by ChrisHPZ » Sat Sep 08, 2018 3:50 pm

Just got my PZ back today after a full gold rebuild and street port. Big thanks to Josh for sorting her out and going through everything with me today..

Just need to granny drive it now for the next 750-1000 miles until I can give it the full beans 👍

Great service from the lads at RR.

Its gonna be a long haul without a beep beep...!
Think you need a run to Cornawall and back to Inverness to get them miles over with.
Are you getting it on the dyno to see what it puts out once its run in?

Documentation says 750 miles but Josh said 1k today and have it back to them for an oil change etc.. then am good to give it a damm good thrashing :)

Tempted to dyno it once I’ve changed to the RR D585 coil kit in a few months plus had a new clutch fitted as part of the build so want to make sure everything beds in fine before I do.

Good idea but use the A roads not motorways as constant load and speed are the enemies of a newly built engine.

150 miles down... man this is going to take an age.. so tempting to go above 5k but trying to be a good boy :)

May need to drop it back as the clutch is squeaking on idle, if I push in the peddle it stops. You can also hear it when driving but no issue with it in gear.. bedding in maybe?

730 miles down... almost there now.. had Josh @ RR take a listen the other day to the clutch squeak. Seems it may need a new bearing but it will be fine for now.

Can’t wait to get the beeps back in my life and try out this street port 😀
