replaced rear suspension units. im sure you can see why...

and AFTER i did that, seam sealed the repair.

that'll do for one day.

oh and got a job offer from a interview I did on Saturday. a bit more money than I'm on but I'm on the fence about it.

most of the time you can use a strip of masking tape to 'pull' the run off
providing the paint hasn't set by this point of course

its not perfect of course but beats rubbing it all down

mot moved forward to this afternoon.

rear light cluster was doing its usual imitation of a fishbowl. filled right up to the bottom of the bulb holders.

it wasn't leaking from the gaskets, or the seam in the body. it was leaking because the seal between the clear lense and the backing had no sealant in it. its been left in the sun for a few hours to dry out, i will reseal it and its good to go.

Over time, if the car is left out in the sun, the outer plastic can distort sufficiently to pull the weld apart and create a gap, sufficient for water to enter.

Either rain water and/or pressure washer or hose from washing.

Once inside it can't get out and goes manky.

mot passed. went into limp on the way home. plugged it in and it has a omp fault. cleared it and it didnt come back however i need to make sure thats not going to come back so i will try cleaning the connector. if it persists ill put a new omp in it.
