Car gets taxed tomorrow so i will be able to see, feel how the EDFC system makes the car drive.
My brain is cafuddled with reading the install, how it operates and set up format choices of some 46 pages!
It is a rather thick booklet isn't it? Also, its good now a couple of members have this now as this should save me time come fitting and setting up as I can pick you and Rod's brains should I have any issues.
The more times I refer to the manual and observe how the system works the more my understanding improves. Currently have it set to G - L and S - L which has two switchable modes Normal and Sport. G denote G force activated and S speed. L denotes a linear and smooth adjustment of damping and there is also A which adjusts in preset increments, not a smooth change.
I need to find a reasonably bumpy road and play with the system in manual mode to really feel the difference as the dampers are adjusted from 0 to 32.

Further thoughts on the bubbles are that whilst the underside of the bonnet was sealed and sprayed it is a double skinned structure therefore all the internal surfaces will be bare carbon and this potentially is the cause through moisture ingress.

That's what I've been thinking from the start.

Moisture trapped between these layers is going to seep into the weave, especially as it gets heated and cooled by both engine heat from below and sunshine (remember that?) from above.

If that is the cause of the problem then there's little you can do to stop it re-occurring.

Are the "bubbles" really hard?
Have you tried making a tiny pin-p**** or slit in one to see if they're solid, or have air or water inside?

So your probably right about moisture ingress in the carbon I guess , as it now lives outdoors rather than a cushty garage with no moisture ever really subjected to it .
Just a thought

Colours look fine but I may have found the cause of the slightly sluggish starting! I just hope that when the electrode departed it didn't get chopped by a side seal as it went into the exhaust or rattle round and round and marmalise the housing.

Time to warm up the car and do a comp test methinks.

Wayne - do you know the NGK part number you were recommended to use?

I've experienced this (on 3 plugs now), and we've had several reports of this failure mechanism on the forum.

I was wondering whether it was possible to use the plug used the FD engine, which has a 4 post electrode design?

Anyone any thoughts/ideas?
