Another tiny update with some pictures :D

I've gone and ordered a pair of these off e-of-the-bay as they were cheap (£35) as I don't like the elephant ears on the 60 plate!

I've still got the wing mirrors off the diamond grey beasty sat in the garage so these should plonk on there nice and easy :D

Nice quick turnaround from the eBay seller. Should be able to get these on the mirrors with the LED bulbs for the puddle lights and then fit when I have a spare few mins :D

Glossy... Are you hooked on carbon now? I want to swap my puddle lights for leds, I believe they are a pain todo.

I am indeed a bit of a carbon convert, although fitted one of these covers on my lunch and unfortunately they don't fit as flush as I'd like. From a distance they are OK - and certainly better than having Diamond Grey wing mirrors on my VR, but still - a job for the future methinks.

LED puddle lights are easy peasy to do - just pull the mirror glass out and then the puddle light is just there. The only major piece of advice for doing it this time of year is to make sure you turn on the heated door mirrors for a minute before you push the glass back in to the connectors - this will stop you breaking bits off the cups and - most importantly - cracking the glass in the mirror.

Alternatively remove the whole wing mirror and take it indoors. This is obviously a much bigger PITA.. I'll get some pictures of the inside of the mirror when I get home this evening for you.

I had no idea the door mirrors were even heated, that on the same switch as the rear demister? Nice pics Dan. Gonna do my own puddle lights soon.

EDIT: Found a manual online. Yes it is. Very cool to find another feature I didn't know the car had.

I didnt know until today when I noticed steam coming off them  dont usually use the rear demister as it makes my radio stop working...

Like the look of those carbon mirror covers, adding my first carbon part soon and fear it may be a slippery slope...

They look good front-on, but they are quite obviously covers which is a shame.

Perhaps making a mould from the existing ones and then moulding a fully carbon replacement... ;)

They still look better than diamond grey so it's progress!

And yes, heated mirrors are a GOD-SEND!

Now... A set of PZ mirrors, in carbon, but custom made so they were actually useful for visibility... Hmm...

Picking him up Saturday morning following the clutch change. Turns out it was the spigot bearing causing the rattle - which also explains why getting it in to gear was sometimes challenging. Looking forward to getting him back and driving him properly!

That's the best editorial of how she looks to date!

The clutch has been changed and she drives SO much better than with the ceramic clutch. Buttery smooth, just like she should be :thumleft:

Just realised how long it's been since I updated this thread! :O

Well, Frank2 is now up and running again after some electrical tomfoolery involving me connecting the battery the wrong way around when jumping. Oh how we laughed...

Anywhoo, with that long behind me... I am getting the car fully valeted this weekend in preparation for the Silverstone track day, but it means that I have some time and some plastidip... As such I have a few decal options :P

Ignore the wheel colour in one of them, my wheels are bronze and that isn't going to change.
