I've got a spare jigsaw that you're welcome to have - for the cost of postage

Cheers Wayne, I`ve Pm`d Dave about his very generous offer as makes sense to have one here as I might mess it up and need to do it more than once

You arent wrong about the cost of the drive, I spend more time in petrol stations than at home at the moment :xmaslol:

Well that didn't go to plan, one of the rear bushes is too knackered to get aligned where it needs to be. He told me to sort that then bring it back for the rest

That's unusual. Bushes can wear or collapse , so there's movement where there shouldn't be and the geometry can't be set but that comment reads that the bush is holding wrong.

The last time someone reported on here that their rear geometry couldn't be set it was down to the garage measuring in the wrong place. Prior to that there had been reports of issues due to suspension arms being bent by impacts (kerbs or potholes )

Yeah I'm a little confused I had a look under the car but obviously not really something you can see.

He said do that and then bring it back and didn't charge me anything for his 45minutes of work. So I've got no reason to think he is wrong...

I'm guessing the bolt is siezed in the bush, preventing adjustment. Anything else would be odd.

I'll second that. They are trying to turn the cam bolt but it's pulling the bush around with it. Welcome to the party!

Well make sense considering thats what happened with the whole ordeal with the front bush...

Was hoping to not have to deal with another one for a while #-o

Did they get the Big bar out to try and turn it ? If so , yep that’ll be the problem . Were you going for standard set up or a bespoke one ?
Just wondering how far it currently stands to the standard set up ?

I wasn't watching I wandered off by then. Said the inside edge of the tyre will wear out quickly as it stands.

I just want it aligned because of the wider wheels and coilovers and I know the front camber is off as I had the bolt out...

battery seems like it is knackered... car has always been a bit slower to start when left for a few days but today It wouldnt start had some power but not enough to turn over properly. Managed to push it and get it going as needed to be somewhere and started ok for the return journey after a drive. Looks like I know what im getting for my birthday next week

Well unfortunately some ******* **** has decided to scratch the glass on the windscreen and drivers window.

It looks kind of rusty and wasn't there yesterday, at first I thought something had got under the wiper than I realised the scratches go in different directions and it is also on the side window, looks like someone had just decided to attack my car with rusty wirewool or something ](*,) ](*,)

And possibly caused by the cold weather, since there is no obvious impact mark.

It's definitely scratched rather than impact, you can see on the side window where the mark is kind or curves so looks more like someone dragged something over it rather than threw it... also has orangey stuff in the scratches looks like rust or possibly brick dust now that has been mentioned. You can feel them with your finger nail definitely into the surface of the glass but no cracks.

Or someone is just really bad at throwing a brick and can't even smash a window...

Nothing like that around Dave, wasnt even very windy here last night. Doubt it would be isolated to 2 small areas on different parts of the car if something like that was the case. Probably know who did it but not got any proof...

A neighbour where we used to live found a dent in the side of his van and another on the roof at the other side.

CCTV footage from the other side of the road showed a fence panel, complete with post, come hurtling down the street, into the van, then cartwheel over the top, before disappearing across the gardens, but that was a bit of a breezy night.

Tried to take a better picture, looks like something was thrown at I think.

Problem is the one on the windscreen is right in front of the driver so probably need a new one before MOT time
