I can't believe I haven't commented on this thread, I've been following it for a while. Top work, you've gone to a lot of effort and it's really paid dividends. 8)

I take it braided oil lines to replace the pop clippy set will be in the pipeline (teehee, great pun!) ;)

Happy motoring, it's great to see a car reach this almost finished* stage :)

I've tried strongflex this time , made in Poland they were around £320 for the whole kit delivered , that included all inserts , diff bushes , rear subframe bushes , even the bushes for the lower rear Hubs . I have thoroughly inspected the them looking for blemishes and air holes and I can't find none . I used the energy suspension ones on my track car which were a right pain in the arse as you had to re use and clean the majority the metal inserts , no rear subframe or rear hub bushes neither and strong flex were cheaper . Much easier to install too . I suppose the proof will be how well they hold out . If they are any good I'll probably change them in my track car as the rear bushes in the front control arm camber bolt have already worn ( I think that's a fair explanation of which arm I meant ,)

How are you getting on with the strongflex bushes now it's been awhile, any problems to report etc?

Hi mate , unfortunately mileage in the car has been very limited , so can't really comment as I have an ongoing diff and steering issue which I hope I'm in the middle of curing . Take a look at j r mororworx ( he's a trader on here ) page , I know he fitted a fulll set to a customers car just prior to mine so may have a bit for feedback
Good luck

Had a look, but can't find any feed back.

Going back a few pages your sub frame etc was rather rusty, did you have much trouble getting it all apart, i.e. Arms etc? I see in his post you asking about it all, so wondering how you got on now you've done it all.

Yes it was an absolute nightmare of a job , its a must to drop the complete subframe so you can get leverage on bolts particularly front camber/ castor bolts . The first car I done I cut , drilled , burnt and iced pretty much everything to get them off as it was done in situ . Never again , just drop subframes and it will be much easier , message jay from Jx he was pretty helpful when I asked him about washers for subframe mounts for his customers details I used energy suspension for the first car , only down side with them was that you have to keep ( and clean thoroughly all the rubber from them ) all the metal inserts from original arms / bushes and some may have corroded . My mate neil has used the strong flex on the front of his car , he's done a couple of track days in it too and he doesn't have any complaints , he's on hols at the mo but will no doubt add his comments over the next day or two
