You could try that but I reckon the amount of stretch in the rope would mean I would probably be in Ipswich before your car started moving. And as a life long Canary the only time I go into Ipswich is to watch the team with the oldest football song in the world teach the inhabitants of Portman Road how to play football.

What do you reckon to the start vid mate, reckon it'll go eventually?

Sorry, I've only skimmed this thread, my mental health for these project threads is poor whilst my RX8 languishes in a slowly increasing pile of parts in my garage awaiting the finances to progress. :(

That sounds a bit similar to waveydavey's old RX8 that hadlowj now has that had the most mangled bearings seen for a while, I stuck on my posh headphones to see if I could hear rattly bearing death noises but I couldn't. I see you've deflooded the hell out of it but have you had the plugs and the fuel pump fuse and Eccentric Shaft Position Sensor off and spun the motor over to see if there's any petrol coming out? It might be turbo-mega flooded. Failing that, tow start at 20 mph in second.

Dan, that sounds just like mine did when it wouldn't start after the rebuild but you've done all the things that was wrong with mine (flooded, coils, battery). The one thing that finally got mine to catch was the use of of boost starter, once it got started it would start again. I've got one you can borrow if you want, I can meet you somewhere on your route home from Filton.
Cheers
Phil

I'm not expecting it to be perfect Ben, it's pure bloody mindedness that its so close to going. Ill give it one more go and then rip it apart anyway, :)
