Mine still throws a P0171 occasionally, usually halfway through an MOT, as it seems to be connected to running at idle for too long.

Hmm that’s interesting, to be honest I wouldn’t have thought that leaving it idling could throw a p0171 code. This issue is with mine is that I can tell it’s still running lean when driving it as it can feel a bit gutless sometimes when putting your foot down. I assume this is caused by a lean condition as it’s not a constant and varies from time to time.

Also car is all washed and shiny ready for Beaulieu and the impending rain

one thing I found on mine recently was a combination of a high wire resistance on the 1st O2 sensor sense wire back the the ECU ( orange and white wire ) and also it seems my rear O2 sensor was faulty and lodging a high LTFT figure which then makes the whole amp range lean
