Good to hear from you after so long Dan, especially as you are now shunning the world of reciprocation!
That's quite a list you have there and I presume it's as a show, road and occasional track say machine. If so then contact NeilParry on here regarding a rear cage as is an aesthetic item rather than functional.
New OEM bushes, despite being "old" technology are likely to give you the best blend of ride quality and rigidity whereas full Polybushed suspension done have found too harsh on the road, numerous thread on here regarding that subject!

Nice to be back on here Chris, I think after I’m done it’s going to be a daily.......as for the hardness of polybushes I’m hoping the edfc will absorb most of the hard bumps, ect as from what I’ve read it can actively change over bumps as you hit them. Should be fun to test out. I’m only young my spine can take a beating

Plenty of parts have been acquired over the last few months but still so much to go! managed to get lots of the nitty gritty and large parts sorted which is great news.
First up was AEM coils, custom HT leads and custom bracket from Essex rotary! Many thanks to them for designing and suppling it. Fitment is spot on for the arm intake and the catch cans ive got at the front of the bay. The harness adaptor I got from race com on eBay.
aem coils .jpg
Ultra racing ARB, rear strut bar, front underbody brace and full set of powerflex poly bushes. all the braces will be powdercoated before going on the car. I also managed to pick up a set of brand new lower and upper front arms with the polybushes already installed ! bonus !
braces ansd bushes .jpg
Got really lucky again on eBay and managed to pick up a roll cage !
Its a safety devices bolt in cage with optional front sections. Im just going to be using it as a rear half cage which will really be just for show but I dont think it will do any harm for stability either. This is booked in to be installed and painted in VR to match the car at the end of July 8)

I also have an R3 diff on the way from Nuttie and when this arrives ill be ordering the revolution rear diff plate to go on it 8)

You are certainly an expert eBay "Sniper" Dan judging by some of those parts. I look forward to see the car sometime.

dan, (or anyone else who has any view on the matter :D )those underbody braces, do they make a genuine difference to the handling or are they just more weight to add? i didnt know they existed until i saw a photo of them on here and they interest me :D

Can’t speak for the 8 but I’ve got a similar settup on the civic where the chassis is braced to the subframe. Good results on that, so I’m expecting better. However......with all the suspension mods I’m planning I doubt I’ll feel the difference.

First bit finished from the powdercoater :D terrible pic but you can see the shape of what it is.

Hi Dan,

The bracket and wiring harness is supplied and designed by a company called Easy Tuning, not sure if Essex Rotary also get the AEM coils from them as a complete kit. :-k

it's a lovely kit! Notwithstanding the price, probably the best on the market, perhaps just outperforming mine in terms of spark energy, but only just!

Good Stuff! :thumright:

The harness is the one from them yes but the bracket is 100% original :) needed to be sure if the clearance with the rest of the bits in the bay and the options that were readily available didn’t specify sizes with the mounted coils. Just for the record, if this was any other car of mine or anyone else I would be going for or recommending your coils. I was just very set on these from the offset and have a lot of AEM stuff in the bay already :D
Need to have a chat to you about upgrading my sohn pump at some point in the future so if needed it can be posted in the box with the manifold :thumleft:

The car is booked in for for the cage install next week and the next bundle of parts are ready to take down for the powdercoaters to have their way with :)
Ultra racing front and rear sway bars and mid brace + japspeed lower lateral arms. I’ve removed all the ultra racing badges to be reinstalled after the colour change

so......everything is going according to plan.....for once. Progress has been slow because of a new arrive of another car but never mind ! on with the show! im having fire with the rear cage for now..... theres no rush really and I might change my choice of cage.....

Tein Monopros with EDFC active pro and the R3 diff have arrived and the rest of the underbody bracing has come back from the powdercoaters in red.
Ive also acquired a low milage LIM to clean up as my aux valves are making a little bit of noise when turning the car off.
tein 2 .jpg
On order from Mazda stoke are:
Brand new full set of rear arms
Brand new SSV and VDI valves
Mazda stoke were the only realistically local Mazda to me who would give a discount. I tried all the locals ones on the Forum club page which are meant to do a discount but when I asked they flat out refused and said we don't do one :-k ? The parts sales manager has the common sense to realise I was looking to place a big order and wanted the business
