I managed to drive my Alfa into the back of a 40ft artic removals truck, up two lengths of motorway armco as ramps and with both our bikes already up in front, broadside, and half our worldly possessions piled-up beyond.

It was like a scene from The Italian Job, and I managed not to blow the blooody doors off!

ive made the seat frame, disable all the airbag warnings, and fitted the drivers seat. all the wiring is just a proof of concept. my soldering iron is in the lorry :(

first time i tried i had every possible code showing for the airbags. now the system thinks all is well, which should make MOT time a bit less of a hassle.

I'm impressed that you managed to get good enough (dry) connections to keep the airbag system check happy.

a cautionary tale gentlemen...

if your welding mask fails to dim, dont try to fix it, just go get another one.

i thought id fixed it so kept welding.

this morning after a rough night i got myself to a@e (been there often enough, first time in 10 years i was there for myself!) given anaesthetic eye drops, then a lode of codiene, eye cream and orders to take it easy for 48hours. i mostly got away with it, the masks wes sortof dimming, but ive still got mild arc eye, if youve ever had arc-eye youll know how agonising it is..

I got arc-eye as an apprentice, watching the guys TIG welding all day, while wearing a pair of Oxy/Acet goggles #-o

It was very painful at first and took a good couple of weeks before it really recovered.

yeah, tail lift doesnt quite have the power to lift it. i might change it for a more powerful pump, but the only issue is the rampover at the top (as expected) and the bits of wood you can see solve that so not a real issue,

Does this mean that you could also offer a dead car collection/recovery service, within the south/west?
