I intend to join the convoy from Sainsburys - which I hope follows their detailed instructions for entry?
(P. S. Please check for any restrictions on using Sainsburys car park what might be out of hours and for 'non-customers'. Many supermarkets are imposing parking restrictions based on being a Customer which means if the shop is closed - you can't be a customer!)

If I have some time i’ll pop over on Friday to take a look, however we should be okay as the store is open from 7 on the Saturday? I’m sure a couple of us may pop into the store anyway to pick up a meal deal knowing Goodwood prices!!

Bloody hell - just realise how far goodwood / Chichester is from me: about 2 hours drive. Properly forgotten since Last time I was there.... Early start to meet for the convoy then!

If you’re anywhere near the Surrey meet Sean at least it’s quite a relaxing drive down the A3(M).

I did the trip from Bury St. Edmunds last year. At least there'll be more than one RX8 this year! Have fun....

Thank you all for coming! Think we had 7 people, although as a few people were on track we were all there at different times.

I’d say the day was okay overall but the weather definitely put a few people off and a lot of people (me included) ended up leaving early. The club stands all seemed quite out of the way, most people went to the track and paddock so missed the club stands. Also very cramped too!!

Great day! Cool to meet new faces and have a good ole natter about our beloved 8’s!

Thanks to Will for the passenger seat and sharing tips and knowledge around about 3 laps I think it was, can’t wait to get on track in the S1 myself now, next season for that..

It was great to see fellow RX8 enthusiasts again after so long with mine in a garage. Plus it was really good to be out on track (even if I did nearly reshape the scenery after just over a lap!) it certainly has more go than before but equally I am quite rusty at driving it properly. I need to do some more!

Day 2!

Just me at this one, plus Barry in a Eunos Cosmo (brilliant car) and a few other rx8s not part of the club.
Originally I was in the same spot as yesterday but with only me there I convinced the organisers to let me display on track, next to a lovely Mitsubishi GTO.

I loved both days but I must admit the planning was shocking! I never received tickets to download and they actually didn’t check them or scan our display passes - so really anyone could’ve come along. As I said yesterday the display stands were quite cramped and out of the way so most people completely missed all the club stands. Attendance was definitely down from last year too, like yesterday I ended up leaving at about 1 as it became pretty empty. I must say though, the Goodwood volunteers did an amazing job and were incredibly friendly, letting me show off a few pops and bangs before leaving.

As I was displaying on track today I did have a chance to chat with a lot more owners which was good. However I know from a friend that the club area was basically empty of visitors so if there were more of us it would’ve been an issue.

While I had a great time it’s definitely something to reconsider next year.
