Simply Japanese will return to Beaulieu (Hampshire) on Sunday 20th July 2025 for an excellent day out for owners and enthusiasts.

Set in the parkland of the National Motor Museum, the event is open to all ages and models of Japanese cars and motorcycles and is always a highlight of the events calendar.

All participants have the opportunity to be chosen as the winner of the People's Choice Awards, selected by public vote. Prizes are awarded to the winner and runners-up.

If you have not been before, this venue has a lot to offer, beyond the the cars on display and the Museum. The venue is especially good for families. See here for more details of:

Palace House - the Montagu historic family home since 1538
Little Beaulieu play area for kids
Secret Army Exhibition - Beaulieu was a training school for SOE agents during WWII
Beaulieu Abbey & Exhibition
Extensive grounds and a riverside walk
and more .... there are often activities, such as Falconry flying displays, plus Veteran bus and car rides

An interactive map of the venue is available here

Definitely a good one for Debbie and I to attend, with our daughter living just half an hour away.

Can we speak with the organisers this year and try to secure better real estate. We've been shafted last year to the far side of an empty field which was later filled by public cars/visitors. If I hadn't of questioned the security parking people, we would of been cut off from the show by a sea of private vehicles visiting the show. Managed to leave a passage to see us but we were still out of it. If no one wants to take this on, I'll call them myself and request better position.

I didn't attend last year, so no idea on the location we were granted, but disappointing from your description of it.

We've usually been in very good to excellent locations - the 2023 location gave good access to everything and plenty of space. So, I agree, it's well worth approaching the organisers to discuss our location.

I suggest we wait to see how many we can muster for this show before we approaching them though. It'll give us more leverage if we have greater numbers and it's highly unlikely they will be deciding on stand positions before at least the end of June, a long way off.

Picture paints a thousand words Malcolm.....

The blue is the show, as you can see the usual fields where we were the year you talk of (I've put a yellow dot where we were with you for ref) there was then a continuous outer perimeter line of a solid blue line effectively cutting us off.

The red is where they put us, pariahs well out of the show and a good 10-15 car deep in empty space away from that last blue line of cars. And then for the final rubbing of salt into the big F**k off to us, the green lines was then them cramming parking public members in around us in rows like an airport. Me kicking off with the steward was the only reason that gap in the green rows of public cars was left so that people could even see we were part of the show. Otherwise we would have been completely surrounded in a car park, outside the show lines.

There was 1 other Honda club outcast with us, who saw sense and moved themselves into the show. As usual because we are the good car people that arrived early and set up. We were some of first there, Gazebo set up, banners out, cars parked to then realise that everyone was far far away and we were out the show.

Tbh, I vowed to not go back because of this, and the attitude from on of the stewards trying to block us in. I know it put others off returning aswell.

So, i will go, but I'm not paying yet and would like confirmation of where they intend to put us. As I would not be happy to be in that place again.

Also we did have more than some stands, and less than others, that were all accommodated within the main show. So there is no explanation for where they put us and why as a secluded 1 club away from every thing and in the middle of where they intended to park the public.

Yes, I thought it odd! We were staying with our daughter who lives about half an hour away, so we arrived first and there was no other cars on that part of the field. It was only when the club convoy arrived I was relieved that we weren't going to be Billy No Mates! Before everyone else turned up a few from RX8 Familia wander over and thought it was a shame we were so far apart, considering the previous year we camped alongside each other. Although I think that was prearranged, which bolstered numbers as there were only 5 RX8s representing RX8OC! Maybe we could do that again this year?

I will make an early contact with the organisers later this week, when I'm back home, to raise our concern that we don't want this repeated!

I'll also request we be co-located with the Familia stand.

Familia had a good location and ironically space by them. It's a shame the organisers seemed to have no common sense to put the 2 clubs with RX8 in the title next to each other.

I'm sure we had more than 5 though Derek? We ended up with x2 rows with cars front and back, my family had 3 cars on the stand alone.

Hi Drew,
I think you're getting confused? I was referring to 2023, which was the previous year not last year! There were 5 RX8s a Subaru, couple of Toyotas and Ian's PC. Maybe some of those on the Familia stand bat for both sides?
