I've neglected to get the Clutch & misfire sorted over past weeks and last night oil light came on whilst picking Joe up from station last night; topped up, and it came back on again on again on the next trip this morning!
I hope I haven't fscked the car (usually oil light on is premature in the R3 - and a short trip is fine before topping up)...
It's dripping on the driveway - looks like from Oil Cooler lines or sump (both replaced brand new December 2023)...
You still got today and tomorrow to sort it out

Sorry to hear that Sean you will be missed
The oil light switch is renowned for being temperamental on the RX-8 so may be no damage at all with luck

Pete
It's always been premature on the R3 - but I was horrified to find it dripping when I got back from the short trip when the light came on again after topping up!
Like Chris Holmes this will be the first JDM Coombe I’ve missed for around 10 years as well.
Looks like you’ve got a great turnout and the organisers (Pete, Malcolm and others I’m sure) have done you proud with the location.
A few brap brap brap’s will bring people down from the spectator area to take in your cars I’m sure!!
Hope you have a great day. Enjoy yourselves.
Andy

R3 is totally different. Solid is level flashing is pressure. Far less tempermental I think too.
Just bumping this, for those that might have missed it
As Conan mentioned above, we've been liaising on the plans for next Saturday and here is the stand layout plan we will aim to work from. You will have received a "RED GATE CAMP MAP" with your stand mirror hanger. The plan below is an expanded view of Area M5, M6, M22-M26 on that map.
Please be aware, when we see the actual scale of our stand on the day, and any "obstructions" (lumps of concrete, etc!), we might need to adjust the plan accordingly. There will be 3 parking marshals on the stand, so please follow their directions, as we have a lot of cars to park up!
PLEASE aim to arrive no earlier than 7.30am, to allow the Events Team to set up the marquee, gazebo, refreshments gear, and mark out the stand.

Points to note:
Refreshments (1 or 2 breakfast bacon rolls), water and soft drinks will be available. There will also be tea & coffee, but please BRING YOUR OWN MUG - only a limited supply will be available on the day. Members are most welcome to bring cakes, etc, to share.
Refreshments are FREE to fully paid members, others will be required to contribute £5 to partake - still a lot cheaper then the trade vans! Cash would be good, else paypal or I can take card payments on my phone (if I have a signal!).
Bring your own camping chair(s) to relax in the Club Marquee.
For those on track:
Don't forget to bring:
Long sleeved clothing to cover your arms and legs.
Helmet (or hire one on the day - limited supply, so sign-on early for these)
Your current, full, valid, DRIVER's LICENCE
Pete and I recommend you go to the Strawford Centre to sign on asap after you are parked up, maybe after some refreshments though. Then go to a COMPULSORY Safety Briefing session (every 20 minutes in garage near Strawford Centre, starting at 8am). Pete will provide some further advice in due course wrt noise testing timing and when we expect to leave our stand to convoy to the paddock.

As I'm on track at the 930 session, should I just go around and meet you all there or?
It's quite literally all the oil that has left the party, so either the sump isn't sealed, the drain plug has left the building or my engines blown. Sump plug is easy, sump is more complicated but fixable today, let's not consider option 3

Has the dipstick been blown out as well ?
Which can happen if it pressurises
