Its Back...Tour de Snowdonia 2023

**Saturday 6th May - Sunday 7th May**

Following the success of this years event in May, I have began working on next years as early as possible for everyone to have as much notice to put petrol, food and drink pennies away for another lavish weekend away in Wales.

This was really enjoyed by all that attended and I would highly recommend. I know the date is a long way off but I will add interested parties and then closer to the time when hotel prices, deposits and food choices are available and required we will whittle down those not coming. Please post your interest and me or the events team will add you to do the list. Thank you.

Still in the early planning phase at the moment but my current plan is as follows:

Current Date of Plan, as per this year, first week of May 2023 - Sat 6th May and Sun 7th Weekend

Day 1

https://goo.gl/maps/XCkkHvefsvVb7M4VA

This will start at the wild pheasant hotel in Llangollen again just over the border at approx. 10:00am, having discovered the owner also has a PZ RX-8, I intend to approach him regarding whether we can get a late breakfast or Bacon rolls on arrival. Also whether a potential group discounted overnight rate on the Friday for those travelling is possible. This time we will leave heading west on the A5 along to Corwen and down to Bala, effectively doing the end of last year in reverse to get into Snowdon, while getting a different perspective and view around the lake and the reverse route of the much enjoyed Top Gear test road into Ffestiniog. This will allow us to utilise the lunch stop again from this years day 2, who I am sure will be happy to lay on sandwiches and cake again while we regroup in a familiar place before the new roads.

On leaving lunch, we will continue west to Beddgellert before heading north towards Caernarfon via Nant Gwynant and Pen-Y-pas as we climb into the mountain range cutting up towards Caernarfon and onto our nights meal and accommodation. (Slight change of plan here. The Chateau is not large enough. The car park can not even accommodate or vehicles)

Address:

TBC

Day 2

https://goo.gl/maps/D6q5ofZESumVDoUp9

After Breakfast, we start the Anglesey coastal road through Beaumaris and along to Cemaes Bay. The northern coastal road of Anglesey has some excellent sweeping roads and coastal views. Lunch will need to planned after I do some reconnaissance of suitable eateries around the mid point of Anglesey, Possibly by the Race circuit if something is going on that day to watch at the track as we pass. Before continuing around the coast, off the Island and South again to the famous Portmeiron via a different route to day 1. Here we can end in the large car park and some may wish to visit the attraction or continue Home.

Oyster Catcher near the circuit would be good for lunch on Anglesey.

This sounds fun, I better buy an RX8 and get my name down.

I have heard of the Oyster Catcher but never been, Is it not quite an expensive place? Will have a look into it and whether they can accommodate our large party also. :thumleft:

You will find many events like this here. It is a very sociable club, much like the pond house meet if you have not seen which is near you, kind of. And the more interest and club members we have, the more events we can create and participate in. :thumleft:

I'm interested, especially if I can find a track day at Anglesey to cap it off again.
