Jap Performance Show - Telford 21st Aug 22

I have just recieved an email, see below, of an indoor jap show at Telford international centre. Being this is right by my work and i know a few people are from the area, are we looking at attending. A 10 car stand can be booked. Im happy to lead the charge if others want to come?

EHM Parts presents Japanese Performance Show, the only indoor Jap car show in the UK.
The location is Telford International Centre which offers multiple indoor halls as well as large spacious outdoor tarmac directly outside the halls.

*** Club Stand Pitch Info ***

A 10 car club stand pitch is £30. You may book more than one pitch. All club stand pitches are first come first serve.
Then club stand tickets are £17 in advance only from the website.
Passengers can get their tickets at the gate or in advance if they wish.

The club attended this show a few times when it was based at Stoneleigh Show Ground but interest warned and it fell off the calendar.
Bring fully indoors it’s very unique and of course weather proof!
Fingers crossed you receive a good response and fill a stand, or maybe two!

Thanks Chris, even if we can get 8 cars its worth going i think. Im assuming its upto 10 cars and you dont need exactly 10? After speaking with Dan J during mapping he pointed out although members they do not frequent the forum excessively. Do we still have an OC facebook page which may be more visible for interest in non calendar events?

Dunno if we'd NEED 10, £30 is fairly inexpensive.

I'd be up for it, so add me to the list (provisional or otherwise).

I'll chuck it on the Facebook page, but the group is small and fairly useless for now. I am working on fixing that though.

We may need support from the Familia and other rotary clubs then to hit 10+ Nigel. Given the combined 102 for combe, between clubs 10 should be easy. I convoyed back with x5 8's from stafford this weekened, which is minutes from the show at telford. Hopefully they will all be interested and the 4 of us in Wales im sure would be too.

Perhaps you could use your past contacts to ensure the interior location if you have sway? Though the external setting is not to much of a bother to me with the correct amount of suncream applied this time

I have a couple of people interested from our facebook OC page, i think it will be possible to add this one to the club calander and give those of us in the northern region more affordable choices of shows as the calander is heavily biased to southern locations such as silverstone, combe, hatch and beaulieu.

Given the £200 fuel bill from this weekend at combe, I for one am keen for the likes of this telford show and in the future oulton park and anglesey circuit shows (both have jap events this month) to make an appearance, which Im happy to lead on from the events team with distanced assist from others should you get any interesting emails from organisers up this way?

Thanks Drew it great to have someone up north again keen to lead at northern shows of which there are several Doncaster, West Yorkshire and Teeside spring to mind and seeing the resultant drawing power of four clubs working together at JDM Castle Combe hopefully you can get some well attended northern events running.

As it’s a totally different venue the only common info that’s it’s Davindah Plaha who organises it. Usually some tasty modded cars attend some quite unusual, ie; large Japanese saloons.

Coincidentally I was just about to book going by myself and thought I'll check if the club's doing anything for it first.
I'd be up for it but the rx8 is dead at the moment. So unless rotary revs can resurrect it I'd have to come in the eunos roadster if that's ok?

I certainly dont have an issue with that. Prefrable the 8 is back for it but if not then bring the roadster.

Ill start a list going now as we've got a few, and ive just spoke to Dan J via whatsapp about it also.
