Tell him to take care on the bump on the inside at the start of the start finish straight! I've seen an RX-7 and a NA MX-5 go in to the wall there on wet days.

Yes, this trackday sold out in the last couple of days.

Please contact Nick to be put on the reserve list. As the event has only just sold out, you'll probably be the first on the list and have a good chance of a place.

Hi all

Just 4 weeks to go to our Brands Hatch trackday

Apologies if you've already informed me you will not be staying after the event for a meal, but please RSVP re-confirm this, in case things have changed.

As you may be aware, our traditional “apres trackday” venue for a Christmas meal, the Royal Oak Beefeater at Wrotham, was closed by Whitbread earlier this year.

It’s been a challenge to find and book an alternative venue, but I have finally settled on this Pub:

Table is booked for 5pm on Friday 6th December (up to 16 places)

Due to the size of our group and time of year, food pre-orders are required, plus a per-head deposit of £10 per head. Please note this the Pied Bull have stated, "Any cancellations to your booking must be arranged with 24hours notice or full payment will be required." Should you make a last minute decision not to stay, I may have to pick up the bill, so will be hounding you

Can you please:

1. (Re-) confirm if you are intending to stay and eat (avoiding the dreadful Friday rush hour!) and let me know if it’s just you, or others too.
2. (Re-) confirm you are definitely not staying to eat.

4. Let me have your food pre-orders by 14 November. Three course choices if eating from the Christmas menu. Two or three courses from the main menu.

I rarely go on forums these days, but I feel I should answer this.
It is not true that the gentleman with the TVR has not had much help. We have had more than one lengthy conversations about this event, the car and instruction and all the other questions they had and the stories they wanted to tell me.
Myself and Paul are very receptive to novice track drivers, we have had many, and want them to be safe and leave smiling. We appreciate doing something new can make people anxious or nervous, but it is simply not possible to give precise time slots for tuition 6 weeks ahead of an event and guarantee to be available for tuition at any time it is asked for. As explained to the gentleman, we can arrange whole days tuition if required. We have access to very experienced instructors that will sit with him all day if required, that could even be shared with someone else. That obviously comes at a cost however.

Nick @ MoT Trackdays states they do not run a reserve list for the Brands Hatch event (I’ve forward his full email response to the club admin email).
