*** TRACKDAY, Croft Circuit - Monday 11th August 2025***

Post by MightyCondor »

It’s been 5 years since my one and only Croft visit, and having enjoyed it so much the first time a return is overdue. Here’s some guff pinched from a prior track thread, and my prior videos to showcase the circuit.

Croft Circuit is North Yorkshires premier motor racing circuit. The circuit nestles in beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.
This superb 2.1 mile circuit has been developed for over 50 years into a top-flight racing venue which hosts prestigious Motorsport events such as British Touring Cars (BTCC) as well as the most competitive club level racing.
Reputedly, designed by the legendary Jim Clark laying out cones on the former WW2 airfield site.
Unlike some corporate oriented circuits Croft has a welcoming, friendly, even homely feel about it. There are a number of Pit Garages and Croft now has new toilet and shower blocks.

I will be staying at a Premier Inn Darlington East (Morton Park) the night before.

Please book on the Javelin Website and once you done this then please post below so as we can update the List =D>

Don't forget you get 5% Club Discount from Javelin plus use your Reward Points to bring the cost down further. This is on top of the sale that is running to 31 December.

Giving this a bump while the Javelin sale is still on. If you book by 31 December this will cost £233 instead of £259. You can also use your 5% club discount and redeem any reward points to get the price down further.

Is Croft worth a 250 mile trip? I guess your answer is Yes Alan hence you’re doing it , the distance is putting me off currently.

I've done it 3-4 times. All very enjoyable outings, but a very long way from me, so I'm going to have to pass on this one.

If anyone hasn't done it before, I'd certainly recommend you do Croft at least once.

It is a long way, but not actually as bad as it seems. The circuit is very close to the A1, and therefore fast roads all the way. It only took me 3.5 hours to get back to Reading last time afterwards. Admittedly I was more leisurely on the way up the day before.

It is a fun track and certainly worth a visit if you've never been.

Nick if you haven’t done Croft it’s well worth the trip as it’s a very nice circuit to drive. If I have a car by then I might just join you :)
