The motor museum at Jurby is worth a visit, just on it's own.

We went a few years ago, out of season, and had the place (almost) to ourselves.
Got chatting with a gentleman over a Rover turbojet engine, as used to power the experimental car, and also as the starter motor for the Pegasus engine in the Harrier. He knew the first connection (as per the sign) but not the latter.
Turned-out he was the owner! So he took us around all the behind the scenes stuff they were working on, then gave a pass that covered return visits for the rest of the week.
We did come back, as the cafe in the building just outside did great fried breakfasts and homemade cakes :)
