Well Curborough was a good day out. I'm actually very impressed with it as a small but very technical track, and I think it offered something for everyone at all levels of experience. Pretty safe given the low speeds, although it was a different animal during the rain!
Leroy's clutch failing was a shame. It would also be nice to go a month without a burger gate at an RX-8 social.
I had a lot more fun in the afternoon once I decided to turn the TCS off. I leave it on generally, but on a tight mostly 2nd gear circuit, it intervened far too much, and despite a few mistakes, it was nice to have full control over rotating the car through the hairpins. The Kaaz diff does a great job in those conditions.
Plenty of running with the low low numbers. For the last half hour, it was just me, Josh and Nick lapping constantly with the whole place to ourselves
Think I've got Racebox telemetry, so will try and produce some videos.
As was discussed, it would make a good annual meet activity one year, given the central location and appealing to all abilitity and experience levels.
