I've changed the sensor twice, although it seemed secure previously before its attempt to fall off yesterday. I had resigned myself to changing the ECU or loom to clear the code but it hadn't been that pressing an issue while the car was otherwise running fine.Kernow Rotary Specialist wrote:That's 100% ess issues. I'd start with drag testing the ess connector pins to check pin tension. If that's acceptable I would meter from ecu to ess plug on each wire to check resistance, then shake test the loom to see if you have a partially broken wire. If the wiring tests show a problem you could run a jumper wire to the ecu and see if that clears your code. If it does, you can run more permanent jumper wires, or replace the engine loom.
Do you think my new symptoms on the dash are all byproducts of it?
Hopefully the sensor stays put or it'll be helecoiling required....
