PS : is there a novice section anytime during the day ?

Hi Pete. In all previous years, Nick has designated the first 20 mins after sighting laps to be a novice session, with the first 20 min session after lunch designated for experienced drivers, to balance things out. Can't say he will do the same this year, but it's been that way for the past 10+ years.

I have said that I’m prepared to take people around Brands Hatch without using the brakes except for the hairpin, ( subject to tyres and weather conditions of course ) and if there comfortable with it

I’ve had a lot of people express an interest in coming out with me in this scenario.
I regularly take people round circuits without using the brakes except hairpins etc,
The speed depends on tyres, car set up and conditions. I tend to say I’ll now do a lap without using the brakes or
I’ve just done a lap without using the brakes .
Brands Hatch out of the pits up to the hairpin you need to brake and take second then 3rd, Graham Hill is almost flat with a lift or a brake, take 4th and Surtees is flat with a brake and down change for the right hander or lift and change with early turn in if not using brakes, 4th down the start,finish straight with brake for Padock Hill or lift and down change if not using brakes.

Oh and I may finally be happy with my brake set up Pete - 4 pots with hawk pads. Feel much better on the road so I may have to try and squeeze a track day in before the end of the year, mini me dependant

I'd love to experience this - always love a great spin around (not spin out! ) with you... At least I then know the potential grip levels - towards which my own skills will never reach!

Nick usually reserves the first 20 minutes after the 9am sighting laps for novices, so I'll can passenger with you and give you some tips, if you like. You can then come out as a passenger with me if you want. I'm sure others will pass on some pearls of wisdom throughout the day too

I have just been in touch with Nick at MoT and he confirms there are 9 places remaining. So, if anyone else would like a join us, book soon!

GARAGES - I have asked Nick to reserve us 4 garages, to be placed together with the one booked by Neil Parry. PLEASE post up here if you would like a share of a garage for £10 cash on the day (I will collect and pass on to Nick at MoT). That will give us roughly 3 cars per garage, so space to store our gear and work on ours car if needed. That ratio has worked well at Brands for many years now, given we can fit 2 cars per garage with plenty of space in front and behind too.
