Re: <<<TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300, SATURDAY, 6 March>>>
Before booking folks we need to decide which us the best location for us, Premier Inn Thetford or Travelodge, Cambridge. The car park at Thetford looks like it cannot be seen from the main road and therefore to me appears more secure for trailer parking.
Does anyone have knowledge to confirm my thoughts?

I have stopped at that Premier Inn Chris and can confirm the car would be more secure in their car park
It's only about 20mins to 30mins down the road from the Circuit depending on traffic

Re: <<<TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300, SATURDAY, 6 March>>>
I'd always choose a Premier Inn over a Travelodge
Great to see the support for this event, given it was scheduled to be an Annual Meet trackday until.... you know...hit.
I'd love to be there, as it's my closest circuit and I haven't done many trackdays this year, but can't book yet as there may now be a family event happening that day. I'm working on it....

Premier inn Thetford booked for Friday and Saturday night, I will have Karen with me on the Saturday night, as her parents live in Norwich, so I will be dropping her off there on the Friday night and I will pick her up after the track day and return to the hotel.

Re: <<<TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300, SATURDAY, 6 March £189>>>
No such thing as visitor passes generally with track days and all you usually need to do for a passenger pass is get a driver to add to their booking and then you will get a wristband at the briefing and can passenger in any car. At least that is how it worked pre Covid, but under Covid rules it may be different and as the vaccination programme wont be in full swing for all until after Easter according to this mornings news then we can be pretty sure there will still be Covid guidelines in place in March.

To just clarify Chris' post there aren't visitor passes at Snetterton, but that's because anyone was free to enter and roam whenever.ChrisHolmes wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:03 pmNo such thing as visitor passes generally with track days and all you usually need to do for a passenger pass is get a driver to add to their booking and then you will get a wristband at the briefing and can passenger in any car. So getting someone to put you down as their passenger on their booking is now your only way in if you're not driving Smutty. And passengers have to be paid for.

Surely TDOs will restrict paddock access to registered drivers, passengers and the one support team member. As this is a "clubs only" day then I doubt Joe Public will show up en mass!

Oh my goodness, I'm not expecting or looking for a freebie. I'm more than happy to pay my way - I just think it would be fab to meet up with RX8 folk and put names/faces to user names. I was thinking of trying to get to Brands but it is about 90 minutes from home and I have clients at 4pm and don't want to risk letting them down by being stuck in M25/M11 traffic.New Duke wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:31 pmTo just clarify Chris' post there aren't visitor passes at Snetterton, but that's because anyone was free to enter and roam whenever.ChrisHolmes wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:03 pmNo such thing as visitor passes generally with track days and all you usually need to do for a passenger pass is get a driver to add to their booking and then you will get a wristband at the briefing and can passenger in any car. I'll see what Nick advises when he replies to my email and take it from there. If I need to piggyback someone's ticket I hope an obliging member of the club might help out if I BACS or PayPal the funds first.
