Vans and trailer will probably be too slow for your convoy

This is just up the A11 from me - I checked the website and it says passengers can be added for a tenner but it didn't say anything about spectators.
Any ideas if I can turn up on the day and pay entry to meet and greet?

We just don't know what the rules will be in March next year, heck the event could even not be allowed. The safest way to attend would be as a pre booked passenger. That also means if an actual track experience is anticipated that a crash helmet will be required.

If you're coming from the Midlands you'll probably be sent A14/A11. The roadworks around Cambridge have been completed but the area is bristling with average speed cameras which aren't highlighted on Google maps. The only other sticky points are the Fiveways roundabout at Mildenhall which Highways decided to put traffic lights on and then some of the roundabouts on the Thetford bypass.
But other than that it's the usual game of dodge the plod.
Watch out in the run up to the Fiveways - it's 40mph and there's often a camera van parked in the zone - as we feared Mrs Smutty had been snapped there a few weeks ago.

Cross country on the A14 used to be a real pain on Friday afternoons but with the revised M6 / A14 junction etc; it’s a lot better these days. Plenty of time to sort out rendezvous points and the overnight stay location, probably Premier Inn, Lynn Wood, Maine St, Thetford IP24 3PG and I may stay Saturday night too.

That's an option. For some strange reason the Travelodge at Orchard Park, Cambridge (right next to the A14) is cheaper than almost any other Travelodge. It houses building workers during the week but is virtually empty at the weekend.
Don't ask me how I know!
Anyway, it is a bit further away from Snetterton than Thetford but it is an idea which may appeal to some. You could use the saved money to buy an extra few litres of oil to top up your cars after hammering around the circuit!
