Club 100 Calendar

Post by v-rex » Mon Jul 13, 2020 9:49 pm

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but here goes anyway.

So, VJ4sothername came to watch me the other day racing Club 100 karts. He quite enjoyed watching the racing and thought others might to, so thought I should post the calendar up, in case anyone wants to turn up and watch. The full calendar is here but I summarised below :

https://club100.co.uk/championship/supe ... ship-2020/

Round 1 - Sun Feb 23 2020, PM - Buckmore Park, Chatham, Kent
Round 2 - Sun Jul 12 2020, PM - Shenington, Banbury, Oxfordshire
Round 3 - Sun Jul 26 2020, AM - Clay Pigeon, Dorchester, Dorset
Round 4 - Sun Aug 9 2020, PM - Buckmore Park, Chatham, Kent
Round 5 - Sun Sep 6 2020, AM - Bayford Meadows, Sittingbourne, Kent
Round 6 - Sun Sep 20 2020, PM - Lydd, Lydd, Kent
Round 7 - Sun Oct 11 2020, AM - Whilton Mill, Whilton Locks, Daventry
Round 8 - Sun Nov 1 2020, PM - Rye House, Hoddesdon, HertfordShire
Round 9 - Sun Nov 22 2020, AM - Buckmore Park, Chatham, Kent
Round 10 - Sun Dec 6 2020, PM - Whilton Mill, Whilton Locks, Daventry

I do a format at the moment called sprints, which is on the sunday, but there's other racing on the saturday as well with endurance racing. It's a little funny at the mo with Covid, so the calendar has been changed to more local tracks and we were only are allowed to bring one spectator this time, but I am hoping things will open up soon and then anyone can come and spectate.

The lightweights and heavyweights alternate AM's and PM's but I am usually there most of the day. Super heavyweights refers to being weightier than the normal heavyweights, in case anyone was wondering, and I am currently struggling to even hit that weight limit !!

There are usually around 120+ drivers in each class with 3 heats and a final each, split over 12 heats in total and 3 finals. So plenty to watch if anyone fancies it sometime, and you also get to meet me, but please don't let that put you off !!

I'm looking at Whilton Mill in October. Fingers crossed the restrictions will have been lifted by then!

Yes hopefully! Whilton is a lovely track ( my favourite ) and has a lovely new clubhouse to watch the action from if it rains....

A real shame we didnt get to do this track this year. Glan-y-gors near Snowdonia. Cancelled due to Covid. Hopefully next year as the drive there and back is lurvely.

However I attach this vid as it's one of the rare videos I have actually out of the kart and not from my helmet cam unlike all my other vids. Apologies in advance for the poor sound quality....
