***TRACKDAY, Cadwell Park - Monday 2nd March £99***

Post by GreySilver Beast » Wed Mar 04, 2020 2:03 pm

Well had a fantastic day on Monday with everyone :thumleft: despite waking up to a flat tyre at Adam's house :(

Adam very kindly pumped it back up too 36psi for it to only start going flat when we got to Cadwell Park, so did the Sighting Laps and then Alan aka MightyCondor very kindly changed the Wheel over for the Brand New Spare Kumho KU39 in the Boot =D> =D> =D> =D>

Enjoyed my third time on the Cadwell Park track on Monday despite going off the Circuit onto the grass

Roll on Germany next

Some of the professional pics are up, including those from the private shoot.

I will be looking to buy some as will a couple of friends. It is much cheaper the more pics one person buys, so wondered if people wanted to do a kind of group buy to ensure the best value for money?

They range from £8 each down to 80p each depending on quantity.

If people are interested then let me know and I'll work out what the best price would be. Likewise, lemme know how many you'd want if you want them 👍

There's one of mine flaming that I'd probably want. Otherwise I'll need to sit down at the computer and take a closer look.

Given the pricing structure, I agree we should try and order together, otherwise it's pretty expensive for low volume orders.

Shame MSVT aren't following the current trend of including the photos at no additional cost....

Hi Adam,

I’ve taken a look on the photography website and they have uploaded the pics from this event already so I’ve attached a couple of the pics for you. If you want any other group pics, please let me know which ones from the link below and I’ll try and get hold of them.

If we have enough people that we can get the photos for close to 80p then I'll probably get two or three but not seen any photos that I'm that excited about

If I was MSVT I would sack him. For the majority of the images he has angled the camera, what on earth for it just ruins the whole image. I wont be buying any but would like hi-res versions of the photo shoot please Adam. I will send you the link to the Google Drive

With a fun bit of lens blur this makes for a great tilt shift miniature.

I have to agree with Chris, though. He certainly wasn't the best. According to their Facebook page it was his first day...

@Adam, if there's any chance of getting this one then I'd be very grateful. To the extend I'd probably pay for it if we got the prices down, so no sweat if they say no 👍

Editing and uploading a little at a time. Don't think my dad our I got pics of everyone, so sorry on that. My dad was taking most of them, so apologies that they are heavily weighted toward me 😂

Robert Baxter and Nick Barrett are far better photographers at Trackdays :thumleft:

You and your Dad did a decent job with your own shots though Dan. Especially considering you couldn't get as close as the MSVT photographer.

Managed to get the video production going for Cadwell. Sightly frustrating as my interior cam was pointing too high and Harry's timer was failing to export data. However for perhaps the first time, the GPS data on my GoPro 6 worked accurately enough for the session I wanted to edit.

So here's an entire stint in the afternoon where I started behind Chris, before lapping behind Dan and another RX8 for a bit.

It was my first time at Cadwell and I enjoyed it a lot. It took me a while to get comfortable with sections of the track, especially all of the blind corners. I was still leaving at lot of time on the table for the first 3 corners at the end of the day. I'd happily go back and give it another go.

I accidentally finished the day with completely dead front pads, which is always an achievement.

Still going through the footage to work out lap times, but there's a 1.57.1 at the end of this video.

The reason you caught me up so quick along with that little red rocket box was that was the lap I had my moment on the mountain. Full broadside would have been great on video!
