My events for 2021 at the moment.
28 March,track day,circuit de haute saintonge.this is becoming my favorite track,the car always goes well there and only usually 40 cars so relaxed day and no traffic issues.
22/23/24 may Pau Grand Prix ,spectating,weekend away with the boys normally 6 of us.Pau is a great town and the street circuit goes around the old town it also a university town so the night life is good ( usually need Monday off to recover) .
1/2/3/4 July,Le Mans classic,spectating,this is a family event for me we will be camping and a friend of mine is taking his caravan.really looking forward to this as it was cancelled this year.
7 August track day,Le man, I really enjoyed this,this year so looking forward to this as well,hopefully a little cooler would be nice.
I will add to this as things come along,

The pau Grand Prix 2021 has been cancelled because of COVID...
I was really looking forward to it as it is one of my favorite weekends away with the boys.
I am p#ssed off..let’s hope this isn’t the start of things to come.

Two new dates have been released for Le Mans Bugatti circuit,I don’t know if I will be doing these at the moment but very tempting.

Now we are flying solo ....... not in EU
you need a carnet ( I think it’s called ) to prove your not importing anything into Europe
It’s around £ 3-400
You also have to list any tools - parts - wheels etc individually so can be singed off on border controls both ways
Could also add hours to the journey
I’m booked to Nurburgring later in the year and should ha e been in spa yesterday 🥲🥲🥲🥲

Since we left the EU
PIR insulation had gone up 40%
Steel 14%
Imported carcussing timber and ply 20%
Pretty much everything in construction has gone up more than 10%
But income support has gone up £20 per week during covid

Bloody hell that’s terrible.so do tourists have to do the same for caravans.
I have customers here with holiday homes and have all come tons of stuff.

I think caravans are exempt but must have a green card as well as the car for insurance

The Le Mans classic has just been canceled for 2021 .
I was looking forward to this,as it would have been our first weekend away in what seems like forever.I will probably roll the tickets on till next year.so I think I will do one of the track days at Le man as compensation.sad day.

Good morning everyone
I have not up dated this for a while,I am going to an unofficial car meet this morning,I have just got back from walking the dog and thought I would do an update,I have not done any track days this year because of cancellations and travel restrictions.
So I have had nothing to look forward to so it makes for all work and no play,not good.
Things look like they are easing off a bit here so June looks like my first of the year.
I should have been at the Pau Grand Prix next week it will be the first time I have missed it in eight years.
I am going to wash the car now

Edit,I must be getting old it is the second time I have missed Pau,one year just rolls in to another.
