Oulton 2019

Post by Ranjan » Mon May 20, 2019 11:31 am

Guys,

Have noticed that we do not have an Oulton Park track day booked this year.
So let's see if we can change that; also October and November seem to have the fewest track days booked so if we pick those months the following results appears:

October 2019

+ Wednesday
02 October 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£179

+ Wednesday
23 October 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£179

+ Tuesday
29 October 2019 Oulton Park
Lotus on Track Ltd
£125

November 2019

+ Friday
08 November 2019 Oulton Park
FULL Circuit BMW Car Club
£180

+ Saturday
09 November 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£169

+ Tuesday
12 November 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£139

+ Friday
15 November 2019 Oulton Park
Full MOT TRACKDAYS
£145

+ Friday
22 November 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£149

+ Saturday
23 November 2019 Oulton Park
International Javelin TrackDays
£169

I suggest we agree on a month and then we can pick which event.

Ranjan.

A few of us attended the Mot event last year in November. It's a great track.

MOT still currently have the early bird price of £125 for 15th November.

I was planning on attending this track day but have yet to book ( pending car situation). But I have already reserved my hotel just incase

I've been looking for an Oulton date for the summer, as it's my home circuit and I'm racing there for the first time in September, so want to top up my local knowledge :)

However, this year, for some unknown reason, all MSVT high season days are priced at £259, which is just outrageous, especially when you consider last years max was around the £209 mark and it varied heavily depending on specific days of the week etc.

Not sure I can commit to that kind of price, especially when we'll be booking a day there about a week or so before the race anyway to test and help my teammate gain some experience there.

I haven't driven Oulton yet, so if we can get a group together on this day (or any other) then I would be very interested.

Yeah I'm doing fewer track days this year because TDO prices have leapt up across the board. :(

I saw one TDO explain that it's because tracks have raised their hire fees. But MSVT own their tracks :-k

Only way the price increases will slow is if event popularity wanes. But every day I've been to has been sold out so that's unlikely!

Guys,

That 15th November sounds like a goer.
Wayne might join you for that one if I can schedule it in.

Also, the prices have gone up because the popular tracks are being oversubscribed by quite a margin hence.......

Hopefully I can sought something out for this.
Last time I did Oulton my car was playing up and I wasn’t very well so not a good experience. Would love to go back with car and myself firing on all rotors!

Guys,

Do we have any consolidation about dates; the 15th November sounds good to me.
If we are in agreement I will go ahead and book that one if other dates are not put forward for consideration.
