Thanks guys.

Yep - i'll be bringing my new daily (so may not be pushing it as hard as I did the RX8 - there's always that "I need this to get to work" voice in your head), a 2001 Porsche Boxster S.

It's a very different feeling car to the RX8 (neither better, nor worse - just different), so interested to see how it does.

There will be about 60 cars booked on the day with Javelin and so far 11 of them are from the RX-8OC :thumleft:

Wouldn't it be lovely if we could make it 15 cars

We need 4 more Members to pay up :thumleft:

It does annoy me that they keep to their 60 limit on a track as short as Mallory. Except for late afternoon, it always feels overcrowded on track and I found it rare to get in a lap that I don't get caught in traffic going round or coming out of Gerrards. It's a brilliant track, but I'd pay a bit more to be able to really enjoy it.

I was taught to treat Gerards as a double apex and, at least on a bike, was happy to overtake other riders on the outside between the two apex's

Had that happen to me at Druids, also on a bike.

Guy tried to outbreak me on the way in and took us both out.

The water that soaked me from the impact with the tyre barrier stank so bad that the marshals thought I'd shate myself...

I think maybe a small session driving around a practice track wouldn't be too bad but I fear she would be pretty scared of going out on a full track day as she doesn't drive fast or have any desire to normally

Feels familiar. My wife has no desire to drive on track or even be a passenger. And despite my frequent encouragement has never driven my 8. Even to the point that if her XF is in the workshop she'd rather get a taxi than drive the 8. No point flogging that horse sometimes if someone might end up feeling pressured into going outside their comfort zone, even if the gesture stems from good intentions.

My Mrs drags me onto the dance floor at weddings.

She's getting strapped into a rickety drift car with questionable brakes and she'll be expected to smile while she drives it. Comfort zone sh... sh... SMUMFORT ZONE I SAY
