Weather looks awful for the whole day.
Do we have any weather protection or are we all going to be in the canteen all day.
The gazebo if I remember correctly is rather open to the elements, n'est pas?

Man up Ranjan.  This is Britain not Florida/Hawaii/Tokyo*, on a yacht somewhere in the Caribbean/South Pacific* #-o

Yeah I know, it is just that this will be the first time tracking the Rex since Rockingham last year!
I really wanted to do some testing and sort out some of the handling.

I know you said to cancel the garage, but I was rubbish at remembering to do that until it was too late, so I still have that available for hiding / spannering / tool store as needed.

With spannering in mind. Would it be helpful if I bring any tools or fluids? I have 5l 10w40, spare filter, new set of rear pads, set of plugs, spare manticor leads, general tools, jack, stands and a dissassembled engine. Can bring the air intake, MAF etc.

You can bet if you bring that lot, we won't need any of it. If you don't bring them, we will ;)

I will have a boot full of tools, fluids, jack and selection of spare parts, on the basis I won't need them if I have them :D

So true.

Ranjan, will you be requiring an empty boot or will the rear storage area (back seats Image) be sufficient If I bring tools and spares?

I haven't decided if I can be bothered to bring my Federals. All these conflicting weather forecasts don't help but I'm guessing the chances of me wanting to use them are quite low. Going to end up with a lot of wet tools almost certainly

Alan, on the basis of the BBC forecast, I've just taken off my Federals and fitted my Rainsports. I'm not going to bother bringing my Feds, so if it's dry I'll be doing short stints to prevent the Rainsports overheating!

Ranjan will need his car to be empty as his slicks and race seat will need to be transported back home.

Yeah the overheating issue is the main reason I'm still considering packing them. My rainsports are my road ones, so only really want to use them if absolutely necessary

It’s a very thoughtful offer but we should all be ok with our usual supplies and tools so don’t worry about extra stuff.
If anything other than fluids or pads are needed it generally a trailer home job!!!

Alan,

If your Feds are relatively new bring them; the Rainsports will overheat really quickly with any hint of a dry line and the Feds cope well with wet tramac as long it is not waterlogged.
