First of all, I'm not affiliated in any way with Javelin.
They currently run the Mazda Sprint Series alongside the Toyota Sprint Series. Awareness seems to be pretty low, and this year (its first) has been almost entirely MX5s.
Javelin are offering half price entry for new sprinters at the remaining two rounds this year. Unfortunately I'm unable to attend, but my friend and I competed at Anglesey in the RX8 a few weeks ago as a change to the usual Javelin Sprint Series we do.

If anyone is thinking of a little sprinting it's a really good entry into the sport, and at ~£70 a round for 8 timed runs it's a bit of a bargain too.
Have a look at www.mazdasprint.com for the regulations and details. No MSA licence or expensive gear necessary, you can rock up in a totally bone stock car and have a go if you want - it's very much grass-roots motorsport and a huge amount of fun to boot.
As I said, I'm not affiliated in any way and apologies if this clashes with anything organised by the club, but I'd very much like to see the series take off. The chances are I'll be doing the majority of these rounds next year, and if there's more RX8 interest we can look to get some clearer classes in place.
