I want to uprate the starter motor in my RX8. Ive had it checked and my standard is spinning at about 220. Ordered a Schmitz 'uprated' 14 tooth and when fitted it was only at about 230! so safe to say thats getting sent back!

I've noticed lately that the car is taking an extra crank or two to start from cold which is a bit baffling as the battety is only 4 months old ( varta E23) and the starter motor is spinning at circa 290 so I'm at a bit of a loss really.
