When fitting the R3 style rear lights on a S1, what order do the original bulbs go into the new clusters ?
Do the reversing bulbs go in the outer led ring and the indicator bulbs go in the inner led ring ?
How easy is it to remove the boot lock on the offside ?

I'm thinking about preventing battery drain by trickle charge. I would also worry about pests, corrosion and brake binding. Are there any other major concerns and mitigations?

I'm trying to find a level switch for my SOHN tank so I can wire it into the normal / sump switch circuit

any suggestions ? I'm guessing a capacitive 2 wire type will suit ? is the circuit normally open or closed to turn on the light ?

As it’s coming up for 18 years old I was planning to replace the suspension bushings, as the rubbers will be pretty hard and perished although still pass an MOT
I do remember reading somewhere on here that installing polyurethane bushings...

The black bracket. The corrosion under the paint suggests it's old. I don't remember ever seeing this on an R3 and I don't think it belongs where it's fitted there.

Could it be from a S1? Possibly a mx5?

I was wondering if removing the front fog lights would expose more oil cooler area to the airflow and improve cooling.

I don’t need front fog lights and my oil cooler fins are fairly mashed up so could use some extra cooling.

Hi. As far as I can see, the lower mounting of the rear shock absorberis fixed by a bolt with a hexagonal head at one and, and round concave projection at the other! If my assessment is correct, it cannot be unscrewed, so how does one remove the shock absorber?
