Re: Hi

Hi, another member told me to join here, he thinks I should build a fwd renesis, and I'm currently looking into how it could be done to a gen 1 bmw mini cooper... 8) Not sure how you would even begin to achieve something like this. Mating a rotary engine to the drive train for fwd is going to be a ...

For years I used some extremely cheap ramps used for caravanning that I then filled with expanding foam, so making them lightweight and extremely durable :thumleft: . Was amusing to watch the overfill of foam extruding out in a sausage from the filling hole  . Simple things please simple minds ...

Re: MOT's extended for 6 months

Typical. Mine runs out on the 29th.. #-o Likewise. Mine was due to be done today (at a reduced rate) along with a regular yearly service at the main dealers (I have an advantageous service plan) only to get a phone call yesterday to say they have closed entirely. even for MOT's. Re: Mail order rotary tester?

Jon, Title bit confusing as it suggests that you have a source of a rotary tester one can order via mail rather than you wanting to borrow one. There are a couple of people on here willing to send out their testers for use. Would respectfully suggest altering title to "Want to loan a compressio...

There was one in Esex that I saw in the latter part of 03 that had been professionally trimmed with yellow leather and from the same dealer that Ploz (Richard, another founder member) and seen at about the same time as he picked his up and so probably November 03 approx.

Re: My R3

To achieve my fastest around Coram at Snetterton (indicated 98mph) mine were set at 2 from hardest at the front and 4 at the rear. In the dry have always used these settings, at most tracks, and found adhesion and traction excellent when on Federals. Had the Teins on for many, many years before goin...

Re: New Coilovers to replace Cusco’s

Try the EDFC in the space below the radio knob which is where mine was mounted it's really about the only sensible place given the criteria although mine was not the active variety. Also good choice on the Teins they served me well for at least 8 years and are still on the car now.

Self rectifying faults are always the best but there is always the lingering thought that not knowing the cause there is a likelyhood of them returning.

If it was a pet the RSPCA would have rescued it sooner and prosecuted Will for cruelty [-X , fortunately it is only his RX8 and it is currently fostered out to a good home for the forseeable future, until it's owner gives it some TLC and retrieves it and promises to give it a good home.  ...

I was thinking of cycling there and putting the bike in the boot of the RX8. Second thoughts cycling down the A30/A303 is not very sensible so I think I'll give it a miss.
