Nice to meet you all will hope to repeat the exercise again next month. Thanks for the pleasant conversation and a chance to see the variations in RX8, not two the same as all with the owners individual stamp on them. Sorry I wont be able to make the Herts meet Ann, as I will be in Jersey. Cheers Al...

I should think they are nicely enamelled now :D :D and would suggest that you might have a job to remove it. Used Hammerite before on an engine block and it stayed put through heat, oil and most everything except fuel.

I do not normally post to this thread, as when out and about around here I usually see three or four 8's, some are members, most are not and there is no recognition of another owner. However, worthy of note is the Winning Blue seen on the seafront this evening around 5.30 and bearing the reg WH0S RX...

Looks like a great meet and some atmospheric shots by some of our intrepid members.

Shades of 'Mad dogs and Englishmen' :D but where was the mid-day sun????

By the 3rd session the people that have no idea but just want to drive around a circuit and hit 80mph! will have you screaming. These are the same people that do not cut corners on roundabouts at one in the morning with nothing else on the road and boy are they difficult to pass as they are unpredi...

Paddock Hill at the end of the pit straight is an eye popping sphincter puckering experience, you'll love it :D Could'nt agree more, it takes five seconds or more to realise you need to collect your stomach next time round. Love Dingle Dell on the GP circuit, would be nice to look at the scenery bu...

Thanks for convincing me.

Glad you enjoyed the day lads.

We are none of us in the least bit jealous

I see they are still running the stock RE040's :D

And a couple of familiar faces among the members present.

Sorry,

Should have qualified that, and said that I could not promise to be there each month.

May just make it this Tuesday, work and foul weather permitting.

Nice idea and I can see further events/meets being organised on the back of regular get togethers.

I cannot promise to be there every Tuesday (football committments) but will endeavour to get along when I can.

Regards

Another item for 'Sods Law', why do I never see another 8 when I'm driving mine. Was out in the 'boot' I purchased for the 8 today and saw four different coloured RX's. "Harri' in his Black at the Vic House roundabout just after 7.40 am. heading toward Benfleet/Canvey. A Winning Blue with a dis...

Sorry Harri, It's only taken me a month to catch up with your post. I've almost given up acknowledging other 8's. For the most part, all that I have seen just ignore any wave or flash of the lights, after a while you just get to feel foolish, as though you are the only one that cares that you own so...

Spotted this afternoon the first RX-8 ever to pass me on the open road. (Except the bugger who caught me on the hop coming out of Prodrive for the afternoon session). A Titanium Grey EY53TVX on the M25, junction with the A127, as I was positioning myself to pull off the motorway in heavy traffic. Ca...

Word has it that there is some nutter going around flashing, waving hysterically and generally making a nuisance of themselves to owners of the new Mazda RX-8.

You would'nt happen to know anything about this would you Si.

Suprisingly, once past Brentwood, there are no speed cameras on the A12. Except in any temporary roadworks and these now all appear to have been completed. I know because I blasted down the A12 from Colchester to the A130 turn off and the origin b2 did not issue any warnings, in addition I know the ...

Cliff, Great to see a bit of friendly rivalry in an effort to boost numbers. Hope you make the theoretical 15. :? As for Andymacks assumption, he's not far wrong in the flat southern part of the country. We are never going to be able to rival the scenery in your neck of the woods. :( However, we hav...

Guys!

Watch it tomorrow on the A2.

Between the Bean Interchange and the turn off for Singlewell there are roadworks. Speed is limited to 40 & 50 mph in both directions.

There are a number of speed cameras and all are active.

Hi! One or two people suggest that we may not be able to recognise one another when outside of our cars. :P So as to serve as a focal point please all gather at the sign of the "Eagle' in the Country Carvery. You will not be able to miss it, as it is in it's brilliant white winter plumma...
