Re: Information regarding Luke Murdoch
When I first saw this I was under the assumption it was another Luke from Worthing. I was also under the impression that Luke was from the Dorking area so thought this could give Luke a bit of aggro mistaken identity etc. I’m from the old school you know right from wrong. Trust me I’m no angel/saint...

Re: Rotary Revs New Video RX8 R3 ECU Tune Street Port
What does that 219 relate to Engine Flywheel Hp.
That’s damm good figures for a relatively stock engine.
Getting as much air/fuel mixture into the engine in the shortest time.
Gaining compression.
Convinced I’m not going Bridgeport on my spare engine now.
Even though I’m going SuperCharged.

Would it be possible just to have one ABS wheel sensor and link all four into one.
Assuming you didn’t want the ABS to work.
(Just thinking out the box).

Jamie on mrc is building a rx8 powered Lotus elan. He wants the stock rx8 dash cluster to work. But no abs so can a gps canbus emulator be used so stock rx8 dash will work and display speed. Or am i talking rubbish? Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk Is there a build forum on MRC any links. (Foun...

Might be worth giving GAZ shocks a ring Email.
Mate had a non GAZ shock rebuilt by GAZ.
They replaced the main tube as it was bent.

Yeah I don't think that rear housing can't be salvaged either. It would run, and it's in part of the cycle where it should have minimal affect on running - compression and combustion not affected - but it will only get worse. That housing (Last Photo) is scrap in my book.
You can not resurfaced missing material.
Rear end plate looks blue (got very hot).

I’ve asked for the police to maybe check the VIN since I have the V5c. Thanks for replying though! The copart RX8 vin shou...

Re: Now I've got a SOHN adapter...
That’s my understanding as well.
What ever oil you use in the COF/SOHN is clean oil and that is injected into the combustion chambers.
I’ll be using Idemitsu in my COF tank
And Shell Helix in the engine.

That’s quite high spec as well.
Possibly because I spent nearly ten years working at the Dealership.

Re: R3 Sohn
It actually pumps very slightly less, most of the time, just through 6 jets rather than 4 jets. Under normal road conditions an R3 "consumes" less oil than an S1, assuming that they were both being driven the same. However, on track the R3 will consume slightly more, as the control curve ...

Doesn’t the R3 have three oil injectors.
Also the R3 actually pumps more oil into the Chambers.

Re: Possible purchase. Need advice please.
My advice would buy the best you can afford.
Buy with a compression test (That shows the true state of the engine).
BigPete shows the test results
Give it a good road test from cold taking it up to temperature and restarting..
There’s loads of tips to keep them running sweet.

Re: Does the RX8 need XL tyres?
If you go onto the Michelin or Pirelli tyre websites.
And do a search on recommendation for the RX8 they both say XL tyres.
So I’ll say for for the XL
The RX8 isn’t a lightweight at around 1400Kgs.
Weight is almost the same as my 4dr Diesel Mercedes.

Your complaint would be with ECP
As they supplied the Spark Plugs.
If you still have the D585 I’ll get them tested.
Do you still have the old Spark plugs.
Could you post some pictures of them.

Not in the location you ask.
But a lot of the Mercedes Forum guys use and rate Wheels in Motion in Chesham Bucks.
May be worth a Call or Email.
