Re: PZ springs
Yeah, not in too much of a rush. Mot November so needs to be done by then. Plenty of time. Does the oc still stock any PZ suspension sets after they bought some? Was considering that, but not sure if I've been a member for long enough or can afford it. The teins are about £400 new so if it's only a ...

Re: PZ springs
I don't think the springs are too bad for like the outer covering. But I won't know until I have them off the car. No clue what the mileage is like but I found them to be an excellent ride on the road etc. They'll be without top mounts and possibly gaiters/dust covers as I'll née those for the repl...

Re: PZ springs
What do we think about this? http://essexrotarystore.com/product/tein-street-basis-z-coilovers-for-rx-8/ I doubt I'll be able to get any springs so it looks like I'll have to go for a new suspension. Just not sure whether to go for the above, or opt for the full PZ kit on the oc? Cheers, Joe Sent fr...

Re: PZ springs
Just a thought, but would it be worth asking if a garage would weld the break? It's at the very bottom of the spring. Just a thought but I'm not sure on how that would affect the spring? [emoji51]

Yeah, the car is a prodrive version. Will hopefully find a solution soon, don't really want to change the suspension from OEM.ChrisHolmes wrote:Do you have PZ suspension on the car already? If not then you cannot fit the PZ springs as seats are different.

PZ springs
Hi all, Put the 8 into local garage today to get tracking done and he said he couldn't do it yet due to a broken rear spring (driver's side). I know these are common faults and would like to replace them with the OEM PZ springs. I looked on the shop here and it says the rears are out of stock, any i...

Re: Opinion on PZ compression test results
Seems a lot of effort for an engine that might not have a lot of life in it? Almost worth taking a gamble on a cheaper, untested engine off ebay I'd have thought? Yeah, I took a chance on that PZ. Got it for £900 so even if the engine fails in the future, hopefully I won't loose much on it! [emoji1...

Re: I am now the proud new owner of a PZ!
Had a go at fixing the steering tonight. Sadly didn't work. Greased the UV joints and cleaned contacts to no avail. I also jacked up the front of the car and turned the wheel left to right with the car off, and it was equal both sides, lowering the car back down with car running is too light turning...

Seems to me that the cat is non existent. But don’t go putting a cat back on it unless it’s an original Mazda one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yeah, I've got an original Mazda cat which was fitted a few months before I bought my first S1 last year. Will probably throw that on, there wasn't a...

I am now the proud new owner of a PZ!
Right, After reading people's opinions on the recent compression test of that PZ, I decided to take a chance and got her for £900 all in! I'll give her a good wash tomorrow and get some photos anyway. But it does come with a few teething problems. It had poor ignition, which I have fixed now with ne...

Re: Opinion on PZ compression test results
Joe,what plans do you have for your car if you manage to get the PZ? I loved that car but sadly don't think I'd be able to afford to fix her. Great memories especially when realising it was hot lapped by the Stig, made my year! Was thinking about selling her as a rolling shell for someone with a go...

Re: Opinion on PZ compression test results
Am I missing something? Why spend up to 2k on a car purely for it's (apparently soon to be knackered) engine when you could get yours rebuilt for not much more? I wouldn't spend 2k on it considering its issues. I've got new ignition which can go straight on and hopefully keep the engine running unt...

Re: Opinion on PZ compression test results
What is your intention with the PZ Joe,use the engine for your other car,or run it as your main car for a while? After my engine went in my S1, I went to see a PZ and went for a drive and loved it! Id like to get mine rebuilt, but can't really afford it sadly as I'm on an apprentice wage! Maybe I'm...
