Re: Data logger / screen

Yeah that was part of the result of my search. Nothing a heap of time wouldn't solve mind you... I may get a Pi and a Pican2 and a screen and just get it interfacing/logging CAN data first.

Re: Data logger / screen

Raspberry pi with 7"LCD screen I read this and casually thought.. "Could completely replace the instrument cluster with a 3D printer and a lot of time." As long as you can get the input signals etc to interface with the pi. Could have it have all your sensors reading in as well.. But the amount of ...

Re: Shoft - new generation seatbelt lock

Ahah. That's true. But even so I could feel the CG lock doing it's work. I imagine even in a bucket seat there could still be a bit of seat belt slack. Where I felt literally locked to the seat. As we discovered when I attempted to get out of the car.

Re: It seemed like a good idea at the time...

 Yeah going from HDD to SSD is quite the leap huh James. Tis a good thing they're a lot cheaper these days. When I first bought a 120GB ssd almost 10 years ago it cost nigh on a hundred quid. My 250GB ssd cost just shy of a hundred quid and now they cost less than 50ish new. Technological advan...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Should be able to fit a bumper with some clever moving about as you put it in. If not just cut it in half. It only cost 99p. I'm sure John likes a challenge.

Re: It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Looking quickly at ebay 30 quid seems the going rate. I'd be happy with that including postage. It's barely been used. Use to be in my mum's laptop and when that laptop died I wiped it and added it to my array of storage devices but haven't really stored anything in it. Should be a completely health...

Re: It seemed like a good idea at the time...

I've got a spare 250GB ssd kicking about if you want it on the cheap James. Isn't doing anything in my rig. It's a Samsung 840 evo 250GB. So a bit out of date compared to some newer drives. But I'd part with it for not too much money if it helps you not buy new.

I have to say when I was in Chris' car at the AGM I found the CG Lock to be absolutely amazing... Definitely something I feels required for any type of driving.

Youd have to change a 100cell for every MOT as it wont pass emissions just so you know.

Personally my trans tunnel gets a bit toasty. Basically don't require any heating on in the car almost ever. Think it was only notably warm in summer though.

"Why are my discs blue?" John 29/2/2020. Ahah. I'd also suggest doing cooling laps as well as the rest time! Bit harder to do on a small track though.
