Re: New safety recall notice - fuel tank

I have recently had a recall for the 04 rx8,that i originally bought just for the engine,as it was very likely to fail the mot due to rear arch corrosion. My son and i sorted the welding, got mot and it's still going strong now,10 months later. Anyway, back to the recall. It has 4 recalls on it,passen...

Re: 2020 Welsh Weekend of Campin,Rampin and Wanklin - Saturday 23rd May and Sunday 24th May : from 9am

Personally,i think the rx8 will follow the capri in terms of value. Ten years ago you couldn't give a capri away, now you are lucky to find one, especially the 2.8 for under ten grand, unless it needed a shed full of work. My advice would be,hang on to your rx8,and keep the rust at bay, everything else ...

Re: 2020 Welsh Weekend of Campin,Rampin and Wanklin - Saturday 23rd May and Sunday 24th May : from 9am

Hello again,my major reshuffle seems to have paid dividends.Whilst cleaning out the shed[where the camper was,for those that know],i stumbled across this little beauty, lurking in the corner. Having found this extra room[which was always there, but hidden with years of crap],it has totally reignited m...

Hello all, i thought that i would just point out that this meet is not just for people camping overnight, but open to anyone who just fancies coming along on either day too. What would be useful though, would be , of the people on the list so far,how many of you would be planning on stopping over,as i...

Re: Easiest way to take out engine?

Without seeing your roof trusses it is difficult to tell how strong they are, when i do this i would put a 4x3 timber counter trusses and straddle 3 or four of them. if you are in any doubt about the strength of your roof, you could always put a timber at either end of the 4x3 down to the floor to tr...

I have some very similar to those, and have been told they are Hirko. any other marks on them? mine have HK on them, but you would need to take them out of the bracket to see the marks.

Yes Mark,it was, luckily,i have a mate with a Manitou who shifted my machinery in no time, the rest was just years of junk,so i got very ruthless with it,and left my hoarding head in the house for once. By the way,how are things with you?,i hope all is well, rob. :thumleft:

Hi all, this is what my reshuffle has resulted in. It now means that i have very easy access to all of my projects without having to move anything first. My joinery business has also benefited from being relocated to the long barn at the back of the house, and now everything concerned with that is in...

It makes you wonder what other issues may surprise them, given that an engine that wont start is pretty hard to miss, tread carefully.

that would need to be in concourse condition if there was even a hint of engine issues, even with an r3.

Re: New Guy looking for a RX8

You may find that the seller is clueless, which you may be able to use to your advantage. if the bodywork is in a good rust free condition, that can out weigh engine issues if the price is right.

To cut a long story short,i have had a complete reshuffle of the use of some of our buildings. if i can ever get rid of the piles of rubbish i have collected over decades, the room i will have created will be a great help in keeping my car hobby under cover at all times, whilst allowing enough room to...
