Re: Air curtain / water removal

A giant chamois leather the size of the cross section of your garage. Pinned at the top but loose at the sides/bottom. Maybe with a slit up the middle to about 5 feet up. As you (slowly) drive in, the chamois will drape itself over the car, removing excess water. Completely Heath Robinson, but proba...

The White Lion in Radford Semele (just off Fosse Way near Leamington Spa) is very nice. Not sure if pub & car park would be too busy on a Sunday lunchtime tho.

Going to give this one a miss - sorry. The rx8 is still very broken and i'm driving to the South of France the next day, so probably wanna minimise the amount of driving i do the day before!

Re: Wheels/ tyres

Don't know if anyone really cares (?) but wheels and tyres are legally not allowed to extend beyond the bodywork, excluding mirrors. So these are (strictly) not legal. I believe (and correct me if i'm wrong!) it's the tyre tread that cannot extend beyond the bodywork. So a stretched tyre on a wide ...

I'd love to come to one of these, but have a poorly RX8 to sell and a (hopefully!) more healthy one to be purchased.

If i manage both those in time, count me in ... otherwise i'll have to pass until i actually have a running RX8 to bring! :)

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Fitted the D969 coils, plugs & leads from Rotary Revs.

Made bugger all difference.

Swapped the standard stuff back in.

Now decided to cut my losses and sell this one, then dip into the savings a little more and buy a known goodun.

I'm still waiting on the RR coils from the group buy - car isn't going anywhere without them! However, once the car is back up and running, i'd love to come along.

Re: Club OBDII / diagnostics reading service (see list page 10)

I have a code & sensor reader. It clears codes on all my other cars, but reads them fine on the RX8 but refuses to clear them.

Leamington Spa/Warwick area.
