The red RX-7 is Dave MacKay's. He joined us st Beaulieu a month or so back.

Your results look pretty good!

Re: d585 coils (or similar) to borrow for test

I think a mod should move this exciting new news about an RX-9 to a more appropriate topic/thread. We have one or two existing ones somewhere. I'm not getting too excited yet, as we've had so many false dawns over the years, but it's encouraging to hear work on an RX-9 is still taking place, even if...

 Not sure what's happening with these businesses. Companies House shows Rotary Revs as "Dormant" from 31 July 2019: https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/11041014/filing-history ..and Motorsport and Performance Ltd as "Dissolved" (via a compulsory strike off notice) on 7 Feb 2017 :shoc...

Re: Condor's Impulsive Panic Buy Rotary Shed and lesser seen FD

Really sorry to hear the news about your FD :( but glad to hear you are OK, which is the main thing. Once you've got over the trauma you can consider the many options you have to make use what remains to get something rotary back on the road/track!

Re: Wrapping up

Mark, great to see you at Combe earlier in the year - that was a fabulous club outing! Sorry to see you are moving on from your RX-8, but you've had a fair run :thumleft: No need to say goodbye though; stay with the club and join us for trackdays in your Boxster. We already have one other member who...

Re: Howdy Howdy

Casey: That was a pretty good read, thanks for that. I saved Opie oils for future oil purchases (as opposed to ebay), seems like a good guy to do business with. I saw other oils asked, but I didnt see MT-90 for the differential. I was under the assumption it'd be save in there as well? Your thought...

Re: Howdy Howdy

Quick question about that bonnet (hood) in your profile picture: Did you notice any difference (cooling or aerodynamic) when you put it on? I've been eyeballing something similar, but t 1000GBP it's pretty pricey TBH, you'd be better off with some bonnet hood lifters. I bought the bonnet hood to so...

Re: New member - Hemel Hempstead

Sounds to me like it's 100% worth rebuilding the engine. You'll get a good warranty from most of the reputable builders (2-3 years with some), which should put your mind at rest about being unlucky twice.

:welcome: from another 2004 RX-8 owner (which I've owned from new). You've chosen a fun car for tracking. Done 70 odd in mine now, mostly around UK, but also Spa in Belgium with a group from this club in 2015. One tip, which you may be aware of, beware fuel starvation, particularly on left hand swee...

Noooooo! Rotor failure today!

Well, after 15 years of valiant service and hard use, my rotor has failed...............

The screw holding my club rotor fob onto my key ring has sheared   I'll try to drill it out and use a new screw, but I'm not sure if it'll be successful.

;) ;)

Re: ^^^TRACKDAY, Snetterton 300, Wed 7 August *SOLD OUT*^^^

Another thoroughly enjoyable day at Snetterton, made all the better by good company and fine weather :thumleft: Again, apologies for lack of the usual garage space. I had requested 2 garages from MSVT, but only found out we'd been allocated only 1 the afternoon before the event, when the garage plan...
