I have joined after spending the past year + looking on here to gain as much knowledge of the RX8 platform as I can.

Have been watching a ton of RX8/rotary videos on YouTube as well, especially engine rebuilds on the Renesis.

if you knew me, youd know i make crappy decisions when buying cars. today is no exception, i just bought a rx8 with a suspect engine :lol:

it has 2 spare alloys and tyres, a rough as rats front bumper, a coolant leak and it doesnt start.

Evening all :)
Finally have my 8 running with no issues so no more mechanical bits (for now) and I can focus on the bodywork. Currently Velocity Red but with a bit of surface rust on the rear arches and a pretty chippy bonnet. The rust should be good once sanded down and treated but the problem...

all this talk of pits, and lifts in various threads on here has prompted me to get on with something ive been putting off for 5 years...
