Why four complete sets?

I was expecting three sets; two for the first complete system, plus one for the two extra ends you'd need, or aren't the ends all the same?

Right out of the 779 that were registered in the UK i've got 775, the missing 4 have likely been mis-registered as PS's or something but i'm happy to call my list comprehensive. The script i wrote has fetched every vin from JMZSE173600141000 to JMZSE173600142999 (2000 vin numbers). I have ordered t...

Re: RR54 SC Track Project AKA The Red Devil

I always question the physics behind those sort of test criteria, because it depends totally on the volume of the vacuum test equipment. If the equipment has a small volume then a tiny leak will have a large impact in the recorded vacuum drop. If the equipment has a large volume then even a signific...

You should have done better during qualifying, so yours would at least be on the front row for the grid :race:

We lost a 12ft length of gutter yesterday, under the weight of all the hailstones.
No video I'm afraid, just a photo of the table on the terrace, after the storm had passed.

Checking EBC for some Pagid rear brakes.. £40 for a pair.. I was budgeting up to £90 off the top of my head so ehm... I have some lovely new disc brakes on the way to me.. Pagid is part of TMD Friiction and used to be the oem brake suppliers to the likes of Aston Martin, among others. However, thes...

okay, so that's the same as I was looking at "fitted spacers under where the locking pins rest when lowered" good to know, thanks.

I can't see any technical/safety issues with that, only finding the budget for the mat tiles.

Re: RR54 SC Track Project AKA The Red Devil

The oil injectors have a system to "balance" the intake vacuum, to ensure that the oil delivery rate is totally controlled by the OMP and not drawn through by intake vacuum. You can override this by blocking the vacuum pipe connections to the manifold, which is quite handy if you want to flush the s...

Re: RR54 SC Track Project AKA The Red Devil

While it probably doesn't do the cat much good having that initial smoke running through, it's unlikely to do the engine any harm. It guarantees seal lubrication for that next start-up and the clean 2T may even soften any existing carbon deposits. I wonder if the "stop" position of a Renesis is rand...

Re: NI potholes 4: Fiesta springs 0

In theory, yes, but in practise very few have been successful forscan, according to Fiesta forums. That might be because the process is so complex, orbecause the used instrument panels being sold are already damaged or faulty, or simply the wrong ones. There are a few variations of this panel, which...

Re: RR54 SC Track Project AKA The Red Devil

There was a thread many years ago about a car that the sump oil level would rise after being left for a few weeks, since fitting a Sohn, and the 2T tank level was dropping by the same amount. The only explanation was that the 2T was draining through the OMP and finding it's way into the sump. Unfort...

Re: RR54 SC Track Project AKA The Red Devil

The OMP is a positive displacement pump, so it shouldn't be possible for oil to just run through under gravity, even if the oil injectors were leaking.

When I used to motorcycle "club racing" in the '70s, we all had to have blood group stickers on our helmets. One of the guys has a serious accident, was taken off to hospital where they gave him a blood transfusion, based on his helmet, which very nearly killed him. In the investigation that followe...

My dad had the cat stolen from his 2005 Honda CRV. It was caught on CCTV, they had it off in less than thirty seconds, while one of them held the house front door closed with a metal bar . That last bit only makes sense if the front door opened outwards, while every front door we've ever had opened...

Didn't they mention that, for marine safety reasons, the battery packs have to be shipped in a different vessel to the actual cars, and that hasn't left port yet. :(
