Re: Clive's 520 BHP Super GT RX-8 Race Car
Unfortunately after testing at Oulton Park today my car has developed a throttle fly by wire issue I have decided for safety reason to pull out of tomorrows Oulton Park event because if the car cuts out again it could be a danger not only to my own car but also to other competitors cars.🥺 When I fi...

Re: Skid pan Training at Castle Combe
Fork handles? The best skid training I've done was in a Sierra on a big frame with castors. The instructor could control the lift screws remotely, to increase/reduce the contact pressure and simulate anything from wet grass to polished ice. It gave me great pleasure to run circles around many of the...

Intake icing is most likely when the ambient is a few degrees above freezing and the humidity is high.

Need to include the mounting rubbers and brackets, if fitting to S1.

Re: To premix or not to premix, that is the question
I see the throttle body warming circuit has been removed, which is asking for trouble in normal British weather.

Re: To premix or not to premix, that is the question
In many US states (e.g. California) even fitting a catch tank correctly in a closed circuit is illegal. In the UK there's nothing I can find in the current MOT test that would specifically cause a fail, and I have see cars (other than 8's) with the entire breather system removed and replaced with ei...

Re: To premix or not to premix, that is the question
Some don't loop the catch can back into the intake, which should be fine unless the oil is overfilled, or the rotor side seals are leaking.
My guess is a Sohn tank for the first one.

Re: Hi, Thomas from Belgium
It's not that uncommon for the oil level switch to fail, often associated with a slight leak. If there's no sign a leak, check the switch with an ohmeter (or bulb and battery) to earth, as the other case of the light staying on can be damage to the loom - basically the sensor wire earthed. :whathesaid: unless it fits another vehicle. The 8's reservoir has a bayonet fitting cap, which won't work with this type of system. I tried modifying a spare cap and only succeeded in spraying brake fluid all over the engine bay. A vacuum based system with at least a 1L tank works much bette...

Re: Special Edition Register additions.
The VIN numbers would be in blocks with gaps, due to the production process, but are the VINs in numerical order, if you line-up the #'s in sequence?
If so, given a VIN of an unknown # Kuro, you could pin it's # down to between nn & nn.

Re: Special Edition Register additions.
If VINs were included in the register list we could confirm if the build # was allocated sequentially, and potentially use that to identify missing numbers
