It's possible that one or more pins have pushed back in the connector, especially if someone has been hamfisted with it.

I've yet to have this issue with any 8, but it's not uncommon with some other cars where the connector is less accessible.

Of all the places that could have happened, I can think of many a lot worse!

The original lines come in more separate sections, so have two additional joints.
