I've been looking at instant water heaters for replacing all the immersion tanks etc that we removed from our toilets. The sink in our stable block has one fitted underneath but it has a complex pressure relief system required where you have taps that shut-off completely, i.e. any normal tap. The Ga...
I was trying to find the thread* where a member had a cover, very much like that one, where the water wicked through the lining and got trapped against the paintwork. This left big patches of white bloom and some blistering of the surface; over £2k to rectify the damage. It may take specific weather...
You have to be sooo careful with using covers outdoors. Our paint is very soft and any wind movement can cause the cover to wear/score the paint. Obviously worse if there's any grit trapped between but I've seen nasty damage even on a clean car. Moisture can also get trapped making rusting worse and...
Thanks guys. I’ve got a few things to change on her but was pretty clean with the off mark. I plan to clean up the underside and add some rust.. On Tapatalk your post just looked like that, which had me confused until I refreshed :D Good to see you back in the fold. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapa...
The V-Power may have made a difference just because it was fresh, as the car had only done 3.5k miles in the last 13 months, so may have had some stale fuel in the tank.
There's "cold start" as in "starting the engine when it hasn't been running" and "cold start" when the ambient is sufficiently low to engage the Secondary Air System; the latter is a special case which is why you only normally hear the pump running on winter mornings.
It makes no difference to how the engine runs, after the first few minutes after a cold start, or at any other time. It could potentially help reduced internal wear by avoiding the rotary equivalent of "bore wash", if you could also prevent the over-rich mixture that's injected to produce the excess...
They don't like sitting with the battery disconnected. We don't know why or how but there seems to be a significant increase in power steering system failures in 8's left with the battery flat or disconnected. Best option is a plug-in conditioner, as above, or take for a drive, when there's no salt ...
If you're hearing a clacking sound then it's not "spark plugs firing" it's the starter solenoid engaging, trying to power the starter and then disengaging again as the starter current drops the battery voltage below the point that the solenoid will hold. This will repeat as a rattle as long as you h...
The US Sohn tank solutions that replace the washer bottle don't normally cater for the extra outlet needed for our 231's, as they didn't get HID lights as standard on any of their models, so it's not that common.
