Re: ECU Remapping Service

What sort of AFR's are you finding afterwards? Is this done on a dyno or the road? Or by data logging before and after? A proper remap is the only thing I have not done, and am now out of warranty on my build; so I am considering getting it done to make the most of all the work I've put into the car.

Re: More rubber and plastics fetishness !!!

Funny you have done this; I have just started making some molds for PZ badges and casting them in ABS. I was going to add them to my selection of products I'm going to start selling through my little side line business NA Performance :)

Re: Weight Saving

Take a look through the previous posts, the list is reasonable comprehensive.
What one person defines as functional, another person may not. My car has no seat belts, airbags or rear seats. But it has full carbon buckets and harness'.

Re: DIY Brake Cooling

Just realised I have resurected one hell of an old post here. But I thought I would also mention Autoexe's efforts to tackle this issue. They have tried something different again; https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/37136 It looks as if it plays on your theory of utilising the positive pressure ...

Re: DIY Brake Cooling

Quick question's. I'm looking to develop this myself a bit. With the venting of the front arches, could we not just utilise the sidetails vents, some proper mesh and duct to send the pressure down the side of the car? For the rear wheel wells, take some ducting and dump the positive pressure aside t...

Re: Custom cheapo Big Brake Kit.

Well when I move onto semi slick next, I'm going to be working the brakes even harder. I've had uprated brakes for a long time now, I can't really out brake the tyres yet when warm and get fade eventually after some hard use. Seems the next logical step to me, especially with increased cooling, bit ...

Re: Custom cheapo Big Brake Kit.

Need to get some slightly oversized pads, but I've heard other people managing to get them for my 4 pots. Then I just need to get the spacers worked out. Thanks Eddie, I will have to have a word with them. I'm hoping to make this a cheap project. If it starts to cost me much, I'll likely make a few ...

Custom cheapo Big Brake Kit.

Rightio, I'm broke, and interested in seeing if it's at all possible to finally crack this cheap BBK conundrum. I've got myself some very cheap 4 pots. I know an adapter is available, although I will try and get one made up instead to save on costs etc. So the engineering questions. Can you fit larg...

Re: Liam's race car project

I think 2.5kg is a very commendable saving! I just wish I could find a way to save half that whilst retaining the boot lid function. Maybe remove one strut and drill some tactical holes in the bracket? I'm looking to go carbon boot if one ever comes my way, and paint it red. Apparently good fo...

Re: After Market Seats

Seeing alot of hate for full buckets here. From my actual experience, Brides absolute surpass the R3 Recaro's. Plus I find them perfectly comfortable at less than half the weight. Also all this talk about carbon kevlar not being strong enough?! Really? I feel like I should say something, but I reall...

Re: Joe's White R3

Ditch the engine cover. Just added weight and traps heat.

And in that case I expect you'll have all the fittings.

I did wonder why he was selling just the front one? That explains it now; as I have the rear one in my car aswell, it looks very sexy!

Re: After Market Seats

If you can't afford to at least get a known branded seat, do not buy cheap unnamed crap on Ebay. First off, buy cheap, buy twice. To make the rails fit them, will end up costing you about the same if not more than if you bought some proper seats. Secondly, and more importantly, in a crash, those thi...

Re: Project H, with LC Rotary and ProjectRX8

I'd be interested to see, kit off dyno. Kit on dyno. Then another with it off; this would help prove it's the addition of hydrogen increasing HP and not just a cleaning effect.

The problem is, there are so many parameters to consider with this, you can't please everyone. . .
