Swapped out my racing beat air filter, it certainly needed it and fitted a new mesh screen as the old one was torn along over side, lucky I have a spare that I keep ready to swap in (filter and screen).

Re: Fuel in oil
The oil level can increase depending on when it is measured, ideally the engine should be hot, but not running and should have been sitting for a few minutes when the level is checked, the oil level increases when the engine is hot, so if the initial fill up was checked when cold then this could cau...

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????
I have replaced two, one on my car, one in another owners car, I opened both of the replacements up(used replacements) replaced the o ring that seals the limit sensor, then gave a liberal coating of lacquer over the joint, I think what may be happening is the o ring is degrading (both that I replace...

Re: X-carlink
What media devices will it allow me use, if you don't mind me asking and how much would you want for it?

From experience the solenoids do tend to have a heat failure tendancy, perfectly fine when cold once they get warm that's when the gremlins come out to play, you could swap the ssv solenoid for your secondary air pump solenoid as a quick temporary fix.

Although UV is a big factor in rubber degradation, oxygen in the air also degrades rubber, basically rubber doesn't like anything that isn't rubber(even then it's not sure)
