Re: Ray Harrison (Harrizone) RIP; Scattering of his ashes at Brands Hatch, Fri 3 Dec

Hi all, Thank you so much to all who came to Brands Hatch today to pay their respects when my mum and I scattered my dad's ashes. It was a great send off and a fitting place, that will be a reminder (good or bad! ), forever more when you are driving around. Thank you to Malcolm for organising ...

Might be worth pointing out to Mr Zinzan that Mazda UK only took this action on account of your highlighting the problem and not through any foresight on their part :-k . Cheeky blighters  .

A text can sometimes help as Aston can be so engrossed and under a car, or bonnet, that answering the phone is not always an option. Keep trying is my advice.

Re: What have you done to your RX-8 today????

Did a buy. Continuing with the genuine Mazdaspeed parts, was never my original intention for the car, but I guess I'm running with it now. Probably the best kit to look "OEM+", which I really like about it. Just a tip for the brackets it may be wirth trying. My Mazdaspeed wing brackets be...

Re: ***TRACKDAY Brands Hatch - Friday 4th December SOLD OUT***

Ray did say he though the throttle had jammed open at some point Actually suggested by two separate marshals, although possibly my foot slipped alongside the throttle pedal attempting to brake. I did withdraw my feet when seeing the wall approaching. However the car afterward showed no signs of the...

Re: ***TRACKDAY Brands Hatch - Friday 4th December SOLD OUT***

Spent some time over the weekend reflecting on the crash and viewing Simons video evidence. With each outing in the MX5 I spent a couple of laps keeping out of everyones way just learning how the car handled and especially determining the levels of grip and traction through the corners in changing c...

Re: ***TRACKDAY Brands Hatch - Friday 4th December SOLD OUT***

After my off the marshal mentioned a rise in the track surface exiting Clearways and onto the straight causing the rear to go light. Never experienced or felt it before in an RX8 but was evident in the MX5. Should have served as a warning.

It could be argued that both travelling and accomodation at Brands Hatch is for educational purposes :^o as you are attending to improve your car control and receive tuition by following (albeit following around) others example  .

However outdoor pursuits may well go ahead as the emphasis is on indoor entertainment etc. So fingers crossed as this will be subject to MSV's/MoT's interpretation of the rules.

Mine went this way Chris and were replaced with conventional brake discs from some that Aston had in stock. Not sure of the make but were not anything special and easily available.

It has been known for the bolts holding the brackets at the top of the coilovers to become loose which could result in the knocking.
