He never understood why anyone considered it "odd" :) :) Search not narrowing in on your car info, can you share (PM probably best) or show me the url ? sorry ...

Re: FDMC Championship 2011 AutoSolo events

^^ hope so ... more likely, didn't realise the effort to get an MSA sactioned event off the ground and cost of proper insurance in place :( There are now 3 locations I compete at where the club owners realise that if they lose the competition license for the site then in applying for a new one it wo...

Re: Black Halo Racing Ignition Coil Upgrade

I'd drop into Maplins and stick some temperature tapes on them.
They rely on air flow to dissipate heat and you might be creating a stagnant air loop there :(
Especially if you're running them hard :) :)

Re: Black Halo Racing Ignition Coil Upgrade

I'd thought about these when first talked about but the images on the site do make it look very Heath-Robinson and appreciate the comments on construction quality. What are they recommending on plugs ? Competition coils will usually take out road plugs very quickly due to the mych higher arc they ca...

I tihnk G3 the point that is always missed whn this is raised - and then argued until folsk dont WANT to see it - is that it's FREE. Personally in signing up I had ALREADY decided that if the club wouldn't take the fee then it was going to charity as I do NOT agree with it but have lost the will to ...

How come we went from 17 here to 20 ? That's a bit worrying on the process here :( Is the one place in future to be PMs or lists ? Re: FilterMag SS250 (high powered Oil Filter Magnet)

With only one real bearing to think about by the time any metal gets trapped you're pretty much shagged anyway with a rotary :( It's coming from the housing by then. These are VERY beneficial in piston engines with so many white metal bearings and contact surfaces. Not sure of the real benefit or re...

Re: What should I be looking at and where?

If you want to compete the car in MSA events "production class" then if the car originally had a CAT then a CAT must be fitted and functional. Scrutineers can even be seen on occasion pointing temperature guns at cat and pipe to check between runs --- some would have the car scrutineered and then re...

Re: Nurburgring/Nordschleife future

The latter is why the serious 'Ringers are up in arms. To make sure they come out with fat wallets they are increasing costs to everyone. Not realising that the businesses using the 'Ring will willingly pack up and if that continued it will leave the enthusiast to pick up MORE of the costs. AND just...
